There are a few things we’d like to remind you of prior to your visit, in hopes that you have a fantastic vacation. The Lake Tahoe region brings with all her beauty an equal attraction to tourists and animals alike. Please be respectful to the animals and do not be surprised if you happen to come across bears, raccoons, mice, chipmunks, and carpenter ants. You are in the woods! Also, please remember to place all trash in the metal bear-proof receptacles, and make sure it’s properly secured. We have very smart bears here in Tahoe! We like to keep the honey in the kitchen and the bears out. Do not leave any food in cars or outside. Secure garbage in the Bear Box. Lock car doors. They are smart, be smarter! In winter, chains or a 4x4 vehicle may be required, depending on the weather. Please check road conditions to see if they are needed. Please adhere to Caltrans traffic advisories, especially during winter storms. WIFI can be slow due to our being a mountain town. Lake Tahoe is a mountain town.
