Fell in love with the location and I want to go back. Sad to leave, but all good things with a vacation come to an end. I am glad I stayed central to the town. Loved the local art gallery and artist there.

Beautiful tiny city in a short ride to Yosemite, amazing and friendly locals always ready to help. don't forget to bring the chains if you travel to Yosemite. Stores in the area could be short of tire chains of the price won't make you happy.

Oakhurst is just 16 miles from the southern entrance to Yosemite. That entrance is closest to the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees. The Valley and waterfalls are another 45 minute drive. Oakhurst has a great selection of restaurants, antique stores and friendly people. The selection of rooms is less expensive and easier to book than Yosemite. During the season, there is also YARTS bus system taking visitors to Yosemite (there is a fee). This makes it easier so you don't have to fight traffic, search for parking or have a park reservation.

We found Oakhurst to be a friendly town whether in local restaurants, visitor center, drug stores, and grocery stores. Oakhurst has a quaint, small town feel to it. Close to Yosemite activities and Yosemite National Park.

The place was not quiet.
The place was not quiet. On the second night there were people next door and I could almost hear them breathe. Plus I booked two nights based on the "reduced rate" of $79 but was then billed for extras. I would not have booked this had the cost been up front. Shame on Booking.com for not being transparent. When I complained to Booking.com I was told there was no refund. I wont book either of them again.

The hotel is clean and you can walk to restaurants and other facilities nearby.Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Oakhurst...we're stayed here and the breakfast was simple but delicious and the coffee was good too. There are several delicious restaurants nearby where you can have dinner.
30 minutes from the hotel to the national park entrance
It takes about 1 hour and 20" from the entrance to the center of the national park.
Lovely old historic property and great location only 20 minutes from entrance to Yosemite National Park and only a minute off the main road. a 10 minute drive from Oakhurst for restaurants. Rooms on the small side but adequate for a short stay. Fabulous veranda for those rooms at the front of the property - definitely worth requesting. The pool was a bonus. The breakfast staff were delightful, so kind and friendly. Breakfast perfectly adequate for us with choice of yoghurts, cereals, bread and fruit.
We stayed in the hotel at occasion of our visit at Yosemite. The hotel is places near all the services of Oakhrust and 1h from the park. The room exceeded our expectations as it was big and the one bed we had was big and comfortable. It is not on the road so you don't hear the cars in the room. You can hear birds which more than apreciable. In addition, the staff is very nice and friendly. We also enjoyed the "cold" breakfast with oatmeal, cereals, bagels, fruits and coffee.
I like not staying in a hotel. That sometimes means spending more for a little more peace and quiet. The value here was great, imo. My wife and I just needed a place to comfortably lay our heads after driving all day through Yosemite. This fit the bill and more. Restaurant and Wine on site if that's your thing. Other restaurants close by. At night, it was quiet except for the sound of cross and crickets. I quite enjoyed that. I would stay here again in a heartbeat
The hotel rooms are generally very nice and quiet.
There are many stores near the hotel, and it is also very convenient to go to the supermarket.
There is a microwave and a refrigerator in the room, which is really helpful.
The staff was very friendly, it was my first time visiting Yosemite and I was very happy to stay in such a great place.
The breakfast served at the hostel was very good and enjoyed it very much.
We aren't used to having dogs stay in hotels/motels coming from Australia. The room we had smelt liked a dog had pissed/pooed in it days before we got there. My kids were gagging so we requested to get moved to a room that pets aren't allowed. The room was good. Due to the location to Yosemite, they don't really need to do a whole lot to get guests staying there. There person at the desk was really helpful though.
Friendly staff greeted us and were very clear with regard to information about the hotel and stay. The room was modern and spacious with very good bathroom facilities and all was clean. It had it's own car park which was very convenient. Breakfast was buffet style with a few cooked items, also cereal, toast, juice and hot drinks etc.
check out was straight forward too.
This is a very tiny cottage, or a hut. It has everything you need except for space for your personal belongings. It is relatively close to the Yosemite park and it is both quiet and yet close to the road. It is within a short drive to the Oakhurst town. It was clean, private, with fully equipped kitchenet. We enjoy our time there and would definitely recommend the place.
Very friendly staff, to order breakfast every morning, very nice wine and cheese offerings every evening.
Small hotel, feels intimate. Close yo Yosemite park as well as conveniences of Oakhurst.
We had to leave early because of medical emergency and the property was nice enough to refund one night stay, which is unheard of nowadays- we will be coming back!!!
The hotel has a lot of character. I liked the bed and the room was very cosy (we had a room by the outdoor pool). initially they gave us a room near the main road but after complaining they changed us immediately. the service was very good and the staff affable. their restaurant was also really great - we loved the food.
Great hotel. Breakfast is basic but good enough for us. Great location with nice scenic drive to Yosemite. Room was huge.
If you're not really a hiker 1 day is enough for Yosemite, 2nd day drive via Tioga road for more nice views if you come from SF/LA side. One night here is good value =)
The Villa is fantastic and ideal for a family. Near to the town of Oakhurst to get provisions. We spent our evenings looking at the stars and drinking wine! If California was on the doorstep to us as is France we would definitely return here for a longer break.
Large room, great view, cozy atmosphere, privacy. Close to Yosemite south gate. Altogether a great choice if you want to visit Yosemite. Oakhurst is a nice little town with surprisingly many options for eating etc.
It was a nice location. We liked the town of Oakhurst, it had all the amenities you could want. After a snowstorm, a local gentleman checked on us to see if we needed help getting our car out.
It’s a brand new hotel with an excellent location, just 20 min away from Yosemite National Park entrance, close to restaurants and stores, super convenient stay, definitely will be back there
