This is a fully enclosed living space renovated in Oct 2023 with a modern design, global decor and hi-tech amenities to help you relax and unwind. Electric fireplace, record player, bathtub, washer/dryer, mini-split AC/heat, Keurig coffee, Marley speaker, Roku TV, breakfast, porch, and fenced yard with swing and fire pit. The original unit of a historic triplex 2 blks to B-Line, Hopscotch Coffee, Cardinal Spirits and Southern Stone Restaurant. 15 min walk to downtown. 25 min walk to campus.
Nejla rhymes with "beige-la" - and don't worry, it's okay if you mispronounce it. :) I have visited 75 countries now, mostly on solo trips, so I have a bit of travel experience myself - that's why I have created this local bnb space in a boutique hotel style. Besides having traveled extensively, I have also lived in Istanbul, Brussels, the UK, California and the Washington DC area - so you may notice any of those cultural influences in my bnb. I enjoy meeting my guests and sharing my love for Bloomington, hiking and traveling with visitors from near and far away.
The historic 100-year-old house/triplex is two blocks from the B-Line pedestrian trail, three blocks from Cardinal Spirits distillery, restaurant and cocktail bar, and three blocks from Hopscotch Coffee. It's a very walkable and safe neighborhood at all hours of the day. If you enjoy climbing, try out Hoosier Heights climbing gym inside the lovely limestone McDoel Baptist Church located catty-corner on Rogers St from the house. Parking - Guests may have up to two regular vehicles parked in the gravel driveway off Allen St. Bus - The bus stop is one block north, across the street from the McDoel Baptist Church on Rogers St. Bicycles - Three bicycles for guests are in the locked shed in the backyard. Please ask me for the key to the shed. Walking/Running/Hiking - B-Line Trail is two blocks east and is a 3-mile paved 12-foot wide walking/running path that connects to 7 miles of unpaved trails including the Rail Trail, Clear Creek Trail and other trails. A great experience for a day hike! Bring sun protection and water. :)
