I stay at the Pod frequently during the year as it is near family. The rates have climbed now as we are getting into the prime visitor season so of course I don't like to pay such more now for a room which is more basic but clean and quiet and centrally located.

Immortalised in popular music, culturally diverse Brooklyn has achieved almost legendary status. On the western end of Long Island, across the East River from Manhattan, this huge NYC borough is so densely populated that if it were a city, it would rank as the 4th largest in the US!
The borough is joined to Manhattan by 3 bridges: Williamsburg, Manhattan and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. It is also linked to Staten Island by the lengthy Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Ocean-going liners pass under here before docking at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook. To the north-east, Brooklyn Bridge Park offers some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline, while south-east is the huge Prospect Park.
On one edge is Brooklyn Museum, the country’s 2nd largest art gallery, and just behind is the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens whose cherry trees bloom a vibrant pink. To the east are some hotels near JFK Airport, and there are more in neighbouring Queens.
At Brooklyn’s southernmost tip, Coney Island’s historic boardwalk has appeared in several films. Regeneration is underway to bring it back to its former glory, and the revamped Luna features a historic wooden rollercoaster. Also historic is the northern Greenpoint district with its elegant 19th-century houses.
Cheap Brooklyn hotels offer a good alternative to accommodation in Manhattan, so check Booking.com for the best deals.

We visited Brooklyn for a specific event and ended up really enjoying the vibe around the area. The area around the Barclay's Center has so many good restaurants and bars that are fun and opened even after shows are over.

Brooklyn is a very busy city.
Brooklyn is a very busy city. There are many options for activities and sightseeing. The traffic is very, very busy and the parking is almost impossible. If you know where you are going and what time you need to be there you must definitely factor in your commute.

Brooklyn is my home town, so im very familiar with how to get around. This hotel happen to be walking distance to one of my favorite bargin stores of all time.
This hotel has a bus stop right in front of it that take you express into the city. During my stay i would walk the few block to the train station and once i was done with my day in the city i would take the express bus straight to the hotel, what a luxury.
I always enjoy my time in New York !
The hotel is in the center of Downtown Brooklyn, which means it's close to all sorts of local restaurants, food courts, and public transit. The area felt safe, even at night. The flavored water near the lobby entrance was nice, especially if you're settling in or on the go. The Phillips mood-changing light was a nice addition to the room, and helped me fall asleep at night. The bed was large and comfortable. The even rooms in the hotel was very clever.
It would have been nice to arrive at the hotel I'd booked with Booking.com and which booking.com had confirmed to find it still operating as a hotel instead of arriving late at night with my son in downtown Brooklyn to be told the hotel had been taken over by the authorities and is now operating as a shelter leaving myself and my son alone at night after a 22 hour train journey in downtown Brooklyn with nowhere to stay. THAT would have been nice.
Quite everything. The room was beautiful, clean and big enough, with an incredible view directly to Manhattan skyline, so we could take showers watching the Empire State Building, just incredible! The staff was really nice, they also paid attention to my gluten intolerance. The hotel is in a great neighbourhood in Brooklyn (North Williamsburg) and it was really nice exploring the area on foot, too.
Hi, I was super disappointed. The carpets were Nasty. The carpets throughout the hotel literally stuck to your shoes. The Bed was a cheap metal frame with a worn out mattress. I felt like I was sleeping on the floor. The walls looked like something out of a horror movie. I was disappointed with booking.com for hosting such a dump.
Great location for Brooklyn and cruise terminal. The hotel was comfortable, safe, and had a very helpful staff. Breakfast was not great so I didn't eat much at all. One of the beds had sheets which seemed worn and not very nice. Otherwise the hotel was great value and a pleasant place to stay in the locality.
The hotel opened just over a month ago.
Rooms are pretty much new and clean.
The location is not bad - it is not Brooklyn Heights but Manhattan can be reached in 15 min. Take tube/subway/metro from local (3min away) station (Morgan Avenue) towards 14 St.
Pretty good value for a hotel in this location (close to Manhattan and busier parts of Brooklyn). There was light housekeeping each night (new towels, emptying trash) although I believe they ask you to request a full cleaning (i.e. change of bedding).
I stayed in this hotel before and love the location, it's very easy to get to Manhattan and the rest of Brooklyn, and the surrounding neighbourhood is vibrant and active. I also enjoy the pool facilities, and the bathroom is very nice.
The hotel is totally new and clean located in the heart of Brooklyn. The hotel itself has a set of locations for relaxing and meeting with friends. There're opening windows in the room.
Excellent location. Great part of Brooklyn with all the cool shops, cafes etc on your doorstep. Also very easy to get into Manhattan. Very cool hotel. Good bar, gym, music etc.
Not much...............breakfast was package cheap muffins, everything very low end. I stayed at this hotel twice before and it was pretty good value for the money.
