Transfer is very unusually organized. They have a private parking (we came by car) and they provided a boat to Railay Beach (8 ppl in total). The room is very big with unique furniture and a great balcony. Minibar was free, which was so nice! The personnel is very friendly and ready to help anytime everywhere. The territory is very lush and nicely done. The pool is pretty small, but with epic views all around. The restaurant is within a step from the beach and the dinner menu is pretty impressive, the dishes are beautifully decorated with local flowers and not too pricy. Cocktails are very simple though.

Nice location. Nicely nestled in amongst the trees, and shaded. The pool was a nice shaded pool, and it was nice not being in the centre of Railay. The rooms were very nice. The service and food was good.

Railay Village Resort, hotel in Railay Beach

Situated on the white sands of West Railay Beach and surrounded by the beautiful limestone cliffs, Railay Village Resort offers private villas and rooms with pool views. It also has an outdoor pool.

The location of the hotel was perfect, just in front of the beach and it was very easy to access to a long-tail boat that brings us to Ao Nang beach. Our condo was not located behind the main street of Railay, so it was quieter at night. There was a very nice cocktail bar just next to the hotel and they even serve their cocktails to the hotel guest if you would like to stay at hotel area where it has a beautiful view of the beach, especially at the time of sunset.

Gorgeous location, absolutely stunning natural cliffs, rocky island outcroppings, warm aquamarine water. An old style beach town that is rare to find these days. Great diversity of restaurants, (the Indian food place was one of the best anywhere) cafes (mango sticky rice!), and local shops along 'walking street', fabulous to just lay on the beach, but hiking, rock climbing, scuba diving schools/rental equipment/excursions, are available for the more adventurous. A little difficult to get to (long tail or speedboat only) - which keeps it remote, peaceful and relaxed - no ridiculous night life, family friendly, local, easy going, picturesque peninsula on the Andaman Sea. We booked a group boat tour around PhiPhi islands - boat was delayed, then broke down in the middle of the Sea, luckily a passing boat provided a 'spare' propellor!!! PhiPhi island visit was just a lunch stop, and basically a huge cafeteria line with spaghetti and fried chicken, ugh. Snorkeling, boat diving, cave hiking, discovering empty beach coves along the way though, were all incredible. Visiting "The Beach" lagoon was picturesque, but incredibly overcrowded - no wonder they don't allow swimming in the lagoon. Toilet facilities on PhiPhi and The Beach were best left unvisited, unless absolutely necessary. The tour was 8/10, but the adventure of it all was 11/10. Railay is well worth a 3-4 day stay, some of our neighbors were staying 2weeks and longer over the new year's holiday. It's an absolutely beautiful, relatively undeveloped resort area, with great food, spectacular beach life, stunning views, and friendly and welcoming local people

Fantastic staff in every area, room is spacious, beautiful and clean with a nice balcony. Food is delicious from room service and very quick. Love the location of resort ( check in is at east railway beach but our room was close to west Railay which they gave us a ride to- very much appreciated)

This is not for anyone travelling with a disability.

This is not for anyone travelling with a disability. Depending on the tide , will depend on where you are dropped off. The long tail drivers did not help at all getting off the boat or with luggage.Had we been at the other Quay life would have been easy. There was no one there to greet us and our hotel was on the other side of the island a long way to drag luggage.. This is a young person's resort the smell of weed is all over the island. The THAI people don't have the same attitude as elsewhere as they have a monopoly.

The longer you stay, the more you discover.

The longer you stay, the more you discover. Railay has a few hidden gems that are worth exploring. We discovered a few favourite spots for dinner, both in the walking street as well as in Railay East. The sunset on Railey West or the Phra Nang beach are breathtaking. We recommend hiking up to the viewpoint, and if you are brave climb down to the lagoon. We also enjoyed renting a kayak during the day, and do a night tour to see the bio-luminescent plankton. Worth noting: If you book a tour on Railay East, it is often quite a bit cheaper, and priced for backpackers who stay on this side of Railay. The tours themselves are typically of the same quality. The most buzz happens in the walking street between East and West Railay and on the West beach.

The property was gorgeous and quiet.

The property was gorgeous and quiet. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was exceptional. The pool was great too. The only downside was the beach itself - rough sand, not as beautiful as the other side of the island. So the hotel itseld was absolutely wonderful but the beach was not.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited!

One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited! We stayed for four nights and four days. I think without excursions, any longer would be too long but it truly is a getaway. One day we did the lagoon viewpoint hike and for avid nature fans and hikers, I would recommend this! It's a steep incline/scramble to get there, but the route provides you with ropes to pull yourself up. The viewpoint is stunning and when we hiked up this, wild monkeys climbed around us which was just an amazing experience. We did an island tour excursion where we visited the local island beaches during the evening and watched the sunset from one of the islands! This tour was one of the better ones we did whilst in Thailand. We explored each island on a longtail boat, which I would recommend, and we went snorkelling to see the beautiful aquatic life that surrounded the islands. We even snorkelled at night to see the luminescent plankton! There's an amazing bar/restaurant on the island called the treetop bar. The bar has the coolest atmosphere. Shoes off, beanbags, and live music! Very chilled atmosphere with a local singer who was great. I would visit here again in a heartbeat. A travellers paradise - would recommend.

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel, the grounds were beautiful and our room was clean and comfortable. The pool had a great view even at night. The buffet breakfast was included with our room and tasted great with a variety of western food and some Thai dishes as well. We are in our 20s so the walk to the hotel from Railay West was not bad at all, however it could be difficult for someone with mobility issues. The hotel itself is also hilly but this wasn't a problem for us and the staff were as accommodating as possible.

the location is perfect, convenient to everything at East Railay and a 5min walk to walking street on West Railay. Much more authentic then many of the resorts on the island. we loved sitting at the restaurant balcony watching monkeys, longtail boats and surrounded by limestone cliffs. great food at the restaurant, room was perfect with good air conditioning and warm shower. the pool is small but all you need to cool off. above all the staff are exceptional. they did everything to accommodate us and made our trip a dream

Amazing swim up room. Love this so much! Every morning drank coffee on the day bed on deck, and then would slip into pool. Perfect. Bar makes great drinks. Prices good, happy hour prices 110B per cocktail. Filtered water dispenser in hallway, with hot and cold water. They provide insulated tumblers in each room. Location on East side is quiet at night, and less price that west side. You can rent a yoga mat, with a deposit only, then deposit given back when you turn in the mat.

One of the nicest resorts I've ever visited. Everything was great, from the very helpful staff, to the room, the breakfast, and the incredible location right on the west beach. Sunset views from the restaurant were fantastic. The quintessential four-star tropical resort. Even had some monkey visitors one afternoon. The staff was also very helpful in arranging transport to the airport in the wee hours of the morning, which I greatly appreciated.

Location was outstanding. Beautiful gardens surround the bungalows, full of wildlife - lizards, monkeys and Hornbills. Very pleasant and well shaded. The bungalow's were well appointed with shady veranda. The resort extends from the eastern railey beach side, with bungalow's all the way through to the Western beach side with new resort villas. It is about 400m across on a flat pedestrian footway from bungalow to breakfast/restaurant.

Railay Hilltop is more akin to a lodge than anything else. I wouldn’t call it a resort. That said, it functions well if you consider it a lodge rather than a hotel room (this is what you get for going for the cheapest accommodation on the beach). I recommend keeping your aircon on even when leaving the property — this wards off mosquitoes and other annoying critters. Beds are ok and toilets function well. You get the essentials I say.

Breakfast great plus a la card, so you can get almost everything. Three different beaches, great pool area. Amazing resort area with a lot of different plants: all is nice and green. Some bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood and small bazar street. Special thanks to Suzi she assisted us from the beginning, she took care of us and organised a birthday surprise for our baby boy. 200% recommended hotel!!!!

The location was great but all accommodation on Railay is perfectly located. The three pools were lovely and clean. The shower pressure was great - the best I have had so far on my trip. The breakfast was good - a varied selection. When you arrive on the East side the resort has a check in right there - you don’t have to walk to the West side as the Resort runs from West to East so is on both sides of Railay.

Large rooms and spacious separated bathroom with bathtub and closet. Located on west side nr mangroves but only 5 minute walk to main Railay Beach. Happy Hour cocktails were amazing! Bar man was lovely. It's a tiny area so hotel was close to many bars/restaurants and minimarts. Easy access by boat to both Krabi for flights and Ao Nang for more beaches and nightlife.

Beautiful view - best place to stay in Railay. It’s better than staying at the beach because this view is irreplaceable. The beach side resorts tend to get crowded and also the Railay beach is very hectic with long tail boats coming and going all day. Phranang beach was amazing and everything is walking distance from Phutawan plus they have a tuktuk too.

This place was so cool to stay at!! It definitely has the most incredible views on Railay Beach. Just know it is on a hilltop so you will be getting your exercise in going up and down the stairs. Checked in down by the beach and then they brought us up to our room. We loved waking up to this view!!!

Great value for money! The hotel is located on the side of the East Railay Beach: not far away from the Pier when arriving by boat and just next to a path to reach the walking street and the prettier West Railay beach in approx. 6 minutes walking distance. The AC worked very well!
