Family home Kobarid is located in the old part of the town. The house is divided in 2 apartments and has been mostly renovated in 2022. We do not have a garden, but we offer our clients sort of a terrace in front of the old barn to enjoy the local atmosphere with a morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening. There are other nearby apartments, so new friends might be found just around the corner. Being in the center of the town there might be a moment when happy people would be passing, sometimes dancing and singing :). There are a number of good restaurants and bars within a 2-5 minute walk from the apartment :). A small grocery shop is just around the corner and a bigger supermarket, bakery, and good coffee bars are just 5 minutes walk from our location. Oh, did we mention there are a couple of places with good ice cream, local craft beer, and local wines? We do not have parking space in front of the house, but there are parking possibilities 1-3 minutes drive from the property (some free of charge and some payable), however, when arriving you can stop for a few minutes in the street to drop off the luggage.
We are a family that has worked in tourism for 20 years and we recently decided to build a tiny home for Families traveling in Soča Valley and Slovenia. We like to work in tourism and host friendly people :).
Kobarid is located in the center of Soča Valley. It is a great starting point for many outdoor activities from hiking, biking, rafting, kayaking, zipline, canyoning or just finding a nice place to meditate and re-connect with yourself and your loved ones. After a hard day of outdoor activities, there are restaurants and pubs in the neighborhood to enjoy well-deserved local food, local beer, and a glass of homemade juice or wine. The area is very safe to travel around and it is one of the most beautiful valleys on this planet ... but do not tell this anyone ;) In case you would need a baby cot, please advise 1 day in advance.
