Amazing backdrop to wake up to. A spacious farm house, surrounded by a well kept farm bearing fruits and red mountains. No neighborhood may not be for many but if you are looking for peaceful getaway, this is the place. Houses a nice Lil pool to relax and a fireplace to make the evening lit. The kitchen is fully equipped and provides ease of eating indoors and outdoors. The staff is helpful and the owners are very cooperative. We requested for early check in and got it without a fuss. A few things in house were not working and the owner got it fixed immediately. All in all, a place worth recommending for anyone planning a group visit to Alula.

I highly recommend staying at the Caravan Habitas AlUla.
I highly recommend staying at the Caravan Habitas AlUla. The rooms are vintage Airstreams with full AC. Every "Caravan" has a view of the mountains. Our stay was magical. The staff could not have been more helpful, The pool at Our Habitasis was unworldly and so beautiful. AlUla itself contains so many archaeological marvels and is an area steeped in history and cultural artefacts. Tours and activities should be booked before you arrive to avoid any disappointments. Hiring a car is cost-efficient and highly recommended.

Wonderful historic city with small fort to climb and local heritage Centre. Take the opportunity to drive out from the city to get a real sense of the Arabian landscape especially Hegra. There are many hidden gems you can only really discover if you take a rental car - 4x4 mostly recommended for hire at the airport. Driving very easy.

The guides in Hegra are the best thing about the area.
The guides in Hegra are the best thing about the area. They are well informed and welcoming of visitors.
Al Ula overall was a disappointment this time. I had previously visited 10 years ago when there was basically nothing for tourists other than one hotel and Hegra. It’s nice to have more options now, but most of the places visited, dined with, or stayed in were charging very premium prices for average or less services. I definitely saw and experienced less of the actual place than when it was undeveloped, aside from what the Hegra guides showed. A big part of that is the barriers to doing just about anything there unless you reserve and pay up in advance. When locations are spaced apart and people run on vacation time, it’s annoying to have to fix reservations for everything. There are few walk up options, even in less crowded times. It seems a place for the less adventurous and more those who want to hang out inside a resort.
Hopefully places can find their way on service levels and become overall more competitive with the luxury desert experiences in the UAE or the more traditional leaning camps in Jordan. It’s a great area inhabited by really nice people. Those should be the faces visitors see.

We were unsure what to expect but AlUla has completely charmed us. The locals were incredibly kind and friendly and we always felt like we could approach anyone for a chat and a laugh. I was nervous about not wearing an abaya but was never made to feel bad. I would advise ladies to bring one along and just see how you feel about not wearing it. We loved the Hegra tour and the OlD Town was absolutely charming.

AlUla is fabulous - if you get a chance, you should definitely go. Transport is an issue - so a car or tour would be best, though I did it with taxis etc and it was fine, just requires a few logistics! A fabulous place to stay and amazing sights to see, with trendy and cool venues/restaurants - in addition to friendly people. It's sort of aimed at the luxury end - but I did more middling, and definitely possible!

The area is in a unique geographical and geological setting, surrounded by 500 million-year-old sandstones. These sandstones shed light on the unique palaeoenvironmental conditions that existed during the deglaciation of the Gondwanan supercontinent in the Ordovician and early Silurian periods. On top of that, there is the presence of the ancient Nabatean civilisation, which settled in this region in the late Bronze Age. Their relics speak of a thriving culture, making this place truly magical. As a result, taking a vacation in this region is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Black is a nice and cozy apartment located very close by the old town of Al Ula and the Oasis heritage trail. It is at a walking distance from the center of the town. The apartment is clean and cozy, there is a big bedroom and a living room with all necessary facilities. I'd like to say a big Thank you to the host, Ibrahim, who is a very kind and helpful person. He did his best to make my stay in Al Ula a wonderful experience by taking me to the major spots of interest and showing me the beauty of this fabulous oasis town.
Booking one of these tents was the best decision I could've made for my Saudi Arabian trip. They provided cultural texture in a private setting, were spotless, comfortable, warm at night, & with 3 bathrooms to choose from sharing them was never an issue. And there was plenty of hot water!
But the highlight of my stay here was getting to know the wonderful owner Ahmed Naseem, who went out of his way to help me accomplish the photography that I came for. A large part of the success of my trip was due to Ahmed's help.
While staying at this property you get the experience the raw nature and beauty of Al Ula, enjoy the silence, the sky full of stars and of course picking and eating beautiful fruits. All the staff were very helpful. Also the owner Mr. Ahmed was particularly kind and made sure that as guests we feel comfortable.
The location itself is very good, but the only thing about this property is that you really do need to rent a car, as taxis, Uber and similar will hardly come to pick you up.
Abu Ali is a great host, he upgraded our room and even offered lunch to us. The real plus is that we hired him as a driver and he took us everywhere and to all the best spots. As he says "Abu Ali complete" and he truly gives you a full tour of Al Ula and surrounding areas. He is very punctual and goes above and beyond to help you have a great stay. He even found a taxi/car from Al Ula to Medina for us. Overall, he is a very friendly and kind person with a great sense of humour.
The camp is secluded, as is almost everything around Al Ula. Close to the camp is a gas station with a supermarket, and a fast food place with local/Egyptian food and some sandwiches. The breakfast served is large and you can grab a cup of tea all day. The tents are spacious and the beds comfortable. The heater works well during chilly nights. Fawaz the owner is really helpful and can give you great advice for the area. If you need a towel - just ask :)
We loved the location, its heaven, close to all the things we wanted to visit - Elephant Rock, Al Ula Old Town, Shalal Caffee, Maraya, Hegra.
We rent a car and managed to visit all places because the resort was kind of in the middle of the distance between all. All personnel was kind, helped us with all information we needed, restaurant employees were very kind.
It was an amazing place with amazing people.
Hospitality of the owner, Abu Ali, is excellent.
The room is spacious
Abu ali will pick up his guests from the bus station and drive you back when you want to leave al ula
Also He will be happy to drive you and show you around al ula.
There also spacious room for gathering or just to watch tv. Also there is a big kitchen.
It was Ramadhan when I stayed, he shows me the hospitality of this months.
The location is around 30 minutes drive from the old Al Ula, but in a wonderful setting in the desert. You can use the facilities of Habitas hotel, which is just minutes away. They have several activities during the day, which is great. The caravan doesn't look very specious but trust me, it is not bad at all. The terrace in front is amazing for star gazing and relaxing after a long day of sightseeing.
The Villa is large and spacious and everything is brand new! The property looks interesting and distinctive with beautiful surrounding areas.
The bed was extremely comfortable to sleep on.
The owner was very welcoming and gave us ideas and tips on where to go and what to see in Al Ula which helped us a lot!
We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay at this Villa again in the future.
it was great to be welcomed into the home of a local Saudi family, born and raised in Al Ula! And more so, as we booked the car through the Gomaa family, we had a real treat, getting stories from the archaeological sites, stories about the Prophets, etc, local knowledge of restaurants cafes etc.!
All the staff we met were very friendly and professional. The property was very beautiful, clean, and relaxing. The outdoor seating area was very nice for stargazing, and the hotel was also 7-20 minutes away from all the activities making it perfect.
This is brand new hotel, very neat and clean. Staff are helpful. They provided me trip tickets and two way transfers to Winter Park for Hegra and Dadan tours. Airport drop off was handy. I recommend Hotel Diamand in AlUla.
The room is huge and cleaned every day. The bed is very comfortable, hot shower, friendly owner. Ali can drive you around Al Ula for a reasonable price including delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. Highly recommended.
Great location. Right on the main road which runs through Al Ula city. The host is a great person and very accommodating. They have a great farm within the compound so a great place to wake up to.
The place itself is comfortable and clean. The owner is very helpful and shared the best locations to visit in Al Ula. Will definitely come back again with Friends and family.
