Abha is a great place with Mountains, Fog, Chill, Rain, Winding roads, and Wonderful ambience. We visited during Ramadan of 2024, and literally EVERY touristic site was CLOSED !!! The only place that were open were the mountains. We were driving rental car, so not so sure about taxi services, we didnt see any taxis with TAXI board too. There are many restaurants scattered around the city, we had advantage to visit them with our rental car, There are lots of touristic spots for visitors. (but closed during our visit) The mountain top viewing points are grand and best to enjoy the Abha views, fog and mist. Lots of Baboons, sometimes even close to the city. I wish the touristic places were made more accessible and the information was shared. We stayed 4 amazing and very busy days.
We stayed 4 amazing and very busy days. We had a wonderful tour guide. The first day, arrival, tour around Abha, Souq Al- Thulatha (Tuesday market) to buy Asiri Thobs (traditional Costumes), Then have dinner at the Al-Sarya restaurant in The High City. Sun Set in the High City is amazing. Second (West of Abha) Hicking in Wadi althiybah, delicious Asiri lunch at Tahlal Museum and Café. Then visited Tabab Heritage Village, Abu Sarah Heritage Palace ( Al-Azizah Village) and the gallery of the artist Ibrahim Al-Almaie. Dinner at a friend's house wearing our traditional Asiri costumes, Haneeth lamb dinner, and Asiri traditional dance with friends. Third day, (West again) visited Sudah Highest overlooking (3000 m) getting down to Rejal Al-maae, the honey cottage, Al-Sharqi overlooking on Abha, dinner at Dar Al-Turath restaurant. Fourth day, (East Abha) Tamniyah, Al- Yanfea Heritage Village, Al- Habalah. Dinner at Jury restaurant. The endRajaaSaudi Arabia - 10Scored 10

Nice place but lack of information all around. Cable cars closed but no information online. Too many unexplained road closures requiring too many U turns. Information on location and access to parks misleading on the internet. Also a 4 km walkway turned out to be only a couple of hundred yards.

Abha is excellent for stay during these days of May. Daily rain at 2 pm. Food Restaurants offer good food. Tourist attractions are good. Must plan with family kids. Gardens are good. Purple color trees add to beauty. Weather is quite comfortable with little cold. Art street is also a must visit. having coffee and evening walk in little cold is excellent. City Walk an excellent place.

- 7.6Scored 7.6GoodRated good· 45 reviewsI'm a Venezuelan expat working in KSA and I went to Abha for a weekend, so the size of the apartment is huge and it has kitchen, living room and bedroom, its location is very nice because the Art Street is only around 500 m walking and I enjoyed my walking from the Hotel through the Art Street, also from the Art Street End you can walk up to one of the best areas for Restaurants and Coffee Shops in Abha, which is the Shurfa Mall. There is an empty lot in front of the Hotel where you can park without any problem.
