Our spacious traditional terraced house in Portimao downtown will offer you and your family the unique local feeling, with Portimao’s Top traditional restaurants, bars, boulangeries and local groceries and Arade river at your door step The terrace and pool done as kitchen extension will give you that unique holiday feeling, for enjoying al fresco breakfast and dinning, together with a dive :) The house have all facilities for families with kids. 5 min drive to Portimao’s top beaches
Life is beautiful We (Catia and Joao) will liaise with our guests virtually, as we don’t live in the country. However Catia’s mum, who lives locally, will be receiving you and supporting you physically on whatever need you have. One way or another we will always be available for clarifying any question or satisfy any request you have (within our capacity).
The house is located in Portimao old city center. It used to be the fishermen neighbourhood and has all that local and traditional feeling attached to it. The area is going through a unique renovation and loads of new businesses, restaurants, bars, art galleries are joining forces with the surviving traditional ones. The river and the walk next to the river is the perfect place for a night walk and an ice cream. All this is located at 5 min drive from Portimao main beaches: praia da rocha, praia do alemão, praia do vau, prainha, 3 irmãos, ferragudo, alvor. Hopefully this unique location will provide you a unique staying. You can park your car in front of the house for free or surrounding areas for free. This is subject to available spaces, but you will always find one around. Once you park you can enjoy the local amenities (restaurants, bars, groceries, terraces, boulangeries, upriver and beach cave tours, etc) To go to the beach you can walk, but it will take you 30 min to praia da rocha. We advise to drive, taxi, “uber”, or local transportation and that will allow you to go to the more traditional and local beaches in 5 min.
