Nestled within the Sintra-Cascais National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, this 1832-built house is a testament to timeless beauty and authentic Portuguese heritage. To our friends and visitors, we say you are welcome here! No matter who you are, what you look like, who you love, what your religious beliefs are, or where you are from.
As a Portuguese, situated between the picturesque Azenhas do Mar and the vibrant city of Zurich, I have a deep connection to the Ocean. The rhythmic melody of the Atlantic waves is a constant presence in my memories, and I yearn for it every day. It is with immense pleasure that I extend an invitation to share our family home, a unique place that holds countless cherished moments and resonates with the warmth of family bonds.
Azenhas do Mar is 10 km away from Sintra. Sintra is a small town in Portugal, located approximately 25 km west of Lisbon. It is the capital of the district with the same name. The town is particularly famous for its partially centuries-old palaces Park and National Palace of Pena; Moorish Castle, Palace of Moserrate; Quinta da Regaleira and many others. Since 1995, the cultural landscape of Sintra has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Additionally, Sintra-Cascais is one of the 13 nature parks in Portugal. The approximately 145 km² area of Sintra-Cascais has been under protection since 1981. Cabo da Roca, located 12 km away, is a cape and the westernmost point of mainland Europe. It is a rugged and scenic spot along the coast, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Cabo da Roca is a popular destination for nature enthusiasts, known for its dramatic cliffs and the monument that marks the geographical significance of being the westernmost point in continental Europe.
