This was my second stay at the Bethlehem hotel. The room view overlooking the city is amazing. Especially morning sunrise. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Especially receptionist Jessica, who was super helpful, translating Arabic to English for me and giving good advise about the city.

Bethlehem is a welcoming and safe city to travel !
Bethlehem is a welcoming and safe city to travel ! It has some local attractions such as the nativity church, mosaic centre, Pro Terra Sancta community centre, market, or just bars and restaurants. The great thing about Bethlehem is that through Palestinian shared taxi services which act like buses you can reach all West Bank sites such as Jericho or Ramallah.

Overall, except the Nativity and St.
Overall, except the Nativity and St. Catherine church, and the areas surroundings Bethlehem which require a taxi (Shepard's field, St. Sava and St. Theodor), there is not much to see there. I initially went by mistake to an area which is a refugee camp, called Aida Camp. This was not the safest experience for a solo woman traveller especially if coming at the evening, if taxi dropping you at different location (at the checkpoint), provided incorrect information by the guesthouse staff in terms of safety, staff not at the guesthouse location at the time of arrival and upset that you are upset that you had to wait two hours in cold weather, in the evening at the doorsteps of the guesthouse. At last, I felt extremely unsafe, especially after the reception staff whom I had to wait for two hours outside at the doorsteps was "sensitive" when I was telling him how upset I was. Scary experience... Please be mindful when you book the guesthouse... Unless you look for a refugee camp experience...

We felt very safe. Plan to return.
We felt very safe. Plan to return. We found in Manger Square the best deals on olive wood. The people were so nice. Some things are made in China and others not. Did not like the kids coming up to us during dinner with gum expecting us to give them money. The restaurants did not either.

I went to Bethlehem during Christmas time, I took a city...
I went to Bethlehem during Christmas time, I took a city tour with a private guide recommended by the staf/ owners of the guest house and he went out of the way to please me on food requests that I had and he was very knowledgeable of the history and the different sites we visited. I couldn't have asked for better weather. The only advice I have is to better travel in slow season, Bethlehem had a sea of tourists and sometimes very difficult to see the important sites.
But the best choice was the Herodium Guest House, owned and managed by a local family, I could have stayed one month with them, very warm, helpful and attentive to your needs! I'll do it again in a heart bit.

Bethlehem was very disappointing.
Bethlehem was very disappointing.
There literally are two historical / religious places, and an insane amount of shops.
After a few hours spent there, I was genuinely stressed out - the amount of taxi drivers stopping me was ridiculous, the amount of sales people stopping me was insane. What’s even worse, they really use people’s kindness and good heart for their own profit.
I would absolutely not come back, nor recommend it.

We visited the Church of Nativity. It has many tourists.
We visited the Church of Nativity. It has many tourists. We were not able to enter the birthplace of Jesus. But it was comforting to note that this is the birthplace of the Savior of the world. Around the manger square there are many restaurants. You can choose what you like to eat. Some of the roads are narrow. It is quite difficult to navigate because of the traffic. It is better tow walk from the hotel. But then climbing up is a challenge for some who are identified as senior citizens. However, it is memorable.
Great apartment just down the hill from Manger Square. Owner provided fresh fruit from her garden when we arrived and provided everything we needed. Shops just around the corner with fruit and other necessities and fresh bread just down the street. Bethlehem is a beautiful town and the people there and across the West Bank are some of the most hospitable people I have ever met. Please visit the West Bank and support the Palestinian people.
Firstly, I was impressed by the beauty of the rooms and the story behind it.
the location was great, it was in the old town of Bethlehem near some shops and very close to many important churches.
the breakfast was delicious, it had all the all the traditional Palestinian dishes. and the place was very clean.
lastly I wanna thank Nabil for his great hospitality.
I’m sure that Nabil have many interesting stories to tell.
Excellent Room condition, staff was very helpful and friendly.
Our day guide Dana was very helpful and informative. Day was well spent with her in Bethlehem. She has taken us to Church of Nativity, Milk Grotto, and local shops.
Ede the owner was very friendly and helped to arrange our trips.
The family. Najla and George are amazing! It’s a great opportunity to get to know the culture first hand from a Palestinian family. Also, the food Najla cooks is delicious. They were extremely helpful and caring. If I ever come back to Bethlehem I’m definitely staying with them. I felt at home.
From the beginning Rozana was very caring, my flight was delayed almost 2 hours but she make sure someone will be waiting for me. I arrived almost 1am. Monmon was waiting for me and she was brilliant. Definitely coming back to Bethlehem I will stay there again. Thanks for the watermelon 🍉.
We had everything in the accomodation what we needed. Host very helpful - picked us at main square, gave us info what to visit. Best location at center of Bethlehem. Room cozy and clean. Everything you need for good price. Definetely recommend, best option for backpackers.
Every detail. Like you’re spending your time inside a huge art scene, discovering new details every second. Banksy is a genious, and staying in his hotel will make you consider for sure whats happening around Palestine. All the crew are excellent.
House of peace is very well located near all the major sights in Bethlehem. It has a good equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms and rooms. It has a beautiful terras, that gives a spacious feeling. The owners family is very friendly and helpful.
Modern, sleek and comfortable rooms and common areas. Wonderful host Elias who is a pleasure to talk to. He has many future plans for the hostel and Bethlehem and I am sure he will have a huge positive impact on his community.
We love the apartment, its spacious and brand new, clean, super clean, even under the sofa and bed. The property is close to supermarket and restaurants. The host is super lovely, He picked us up from our hotel.
Great location to experience Betlehem in Aida camp, which is very nice to stroll around in. The hotel is also close to the wall and around 15 mins walk to city center. Very clean, comfortable bedroom.
Nahida and Jack are fantastic hosts, very kind and helpful! Very clean and cosy rooms, beautiful patio and dining room. Excellent location in Bethlehem with Nativity Church just across the square.
The location is perfect. Also the breakfast and dinner that you can add. The rooms are big, excellent views from my room of old Bethlehem. The nuns are really polite, you feel at home.
Amazing staff, friendly and responsive.
The public rooms were warm, inviting and interesting. The hotel rooms were large, well appointed, very comfortable and clean.
