Please be aware that an 18 million dollar road project is underway in Bocas. Expect some noise and dust. We are here to guide you to the restaurants and activities that will ensure that you have a great time despite this disruption. If you have any questions please reach out to us. The Villa at Casa Botanica reflects the best of luxury and nature. Enjoy breezy indoor/outdoor living. The outdoor swim pond, popular in Europe for years, is the first in all of Panama. It is a sustainable feature that supports the natural environment and allows you to enjoy a healthy swim without the use of chlorine.. A swimming beach is 130 mts away, and town is accessible in just 5 minutes. Nestled within the former internationally recognized Finca Los Monos Botanical Garden, a sanctuary for wildlife like birds, monkeys, sloths and thousands of species of tropical plants. The newly constructed private jungle walk includes an outdoor dining area and fire pit. You’ll be surrounded by jungle yet close to the best surf breaks on the island.
We are a retired couple that fell in love with Bocas del Toro. We built Casa Botanica as a place to enjoy with friends and family
10 minutes to the most consistent surf breaks on the island and a very charming beach bar/restaurant/lounge, La Coralina Beach Club, where you can watch the surfers while enjoying some great food and tasty beverages. There's also an excellent brick-oven-style take-away pizza restaurant just down the road, Caio Pizza, and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute is a 5 minute walk away. Super Gourmet is an excellent market for gringo-style food (vegan, gluten free, grass fed and organic). They also have a nice deli with daily salads by the pound, sandwiches and take-home gourmet meals. They will deliver to the villa. Super Market Isla Colon is a larger grocery with more typical staples and liquor. Try Tuti and Fish or Legumbreia Jose for a locals shopping experience. Sabrosa Meats is a newer addition to town, it's a great and much needed addition to the community!
