Hello my name is Tagi Cole and my husband, Brian, and I live in beautiful Tairua, Coromandel. We have owned this property for 28 years as a beach house and now live here permanently with our two little staffie girls. The house is situated on the Estuary Beach front (just walk down the driveway). Safe swimming. We have kayaks and a stand-up paddleboard for guests to use at their leisure. The Old Mill Cafe is a 3 minute walk from the house for the best coffee and breakfast. The Beach Club Restaurant is also a lovely stroll around the corner for some really delectable food and beverage. The Tairua Surf Beach is about a 10 minute walk or just a few minutes in the car. The boat ramp is just down the road. We can easily fit a 5.8m boat in the driveway.

We are renting out the downstairs unit for holiday accommodation. It is totally self contained and very private from upstairs. We are very knowledgeable of the area and can give you detailed information of all the great places to see and visit. We have kayaks and a stand-up paddleboard for use.

Tairua is a great place to base from. You can walk to the ferry (5 mins) and go over to Pauanui for breakfast or lunch. Or take a picnic lunch and lie on the beach. There are a number of great local walks/hikes. There are some really good hikes through the old gold mines and you can go for a swim in the river to cool off. Hot Water Beach is only a 20 minute drive. You can also catch a ferry to Whitianga from Cooks Beach Ferry Landing.
