We own three large holiday homes in various locations. Firstly this fabulous century-old Post Office providing gorgeous opulent accommodation in the central North Island. Secondly a beautiful 6-Bedroom house in Northland with outstanding water views of the Hokianga Harbour. Thirdly, a 140-yr-old School House in the Kaipara on the Kauri Coast currently being renovated. IMPORTANT! Property information

The Old Post Office Lodge is a century-old iconic building, with a location best described as being "basecamp for the Ruapehu District" including the stunning Tongariro National Park, with UNTOLD outdoor activities in every direction! From multiple famous hiking treks, to multiple infamous mountain biking trails, plus incredible kayaking journeys along the phenomenal Whanganui River, to many popular deer & pig hunting spots, and of course NZ's largest ski-field Whakapapa less than half an hour away on Mt Ruapehu. The accommodation is stunning with its focus on Gatsby-style art-deco opulence - and incredible Post Office memorabilia. When its extensive 8-month renovation was completed in July 2021, the local Visit Ruapehu Tourism staff's reaction was "An amazing place ... it really lifts the bar on our accommodation!" Amenities of the fully self-contained and opulent WEST WING Includ up to three Queen/Double Bedrooms (including 4-poster in the Master Bedroom); uber cool Dorm Room with 4 Single Beds; Kitchen-Dining-Laundry; Bathrooms with toilet; Shower converted from the original Phonebooth; private use of the Back-deck with Sauna cabin, Alpine spa-pool, and seating with fire-pit; Drying Room cupboard; Gun safe; plus access to the adjacent Garage to securely store outdoor equipment (eg bikes, skis, fishing rods).

Then afterwards chillaxing in our traditional Finnish-style Sauna cabin and gorgeous Hot-Tub style spa-pool. The Old Post Office Lodge is also a superb location to have your own Great Gatsby themed night with friends ... and its a brilliant location for an Agatha Christie style Murder Mystery evening!!
