Take a stroll down the beach, swim in the river, go kyte surfing, boating or fishing. Just north from Paraparaumu, Waikanae Beach is a popular holiday destination, loved for it's undisturbed beauty and community vibe. The beach is great for swimming, fishing and kayaking, and there's great bird watching opportunities by the estuary.
