Onepu Moana (sandy sea) holiday home is one of the largest and most beautifully decor'd houses in the Opononi/Omapere/Pakanae area, brilliantly set up for groups of couples, and extended families, with it's five gorgeous Queen/Double bedrooms, plus 6-berth Bunk Room (and downstairs Lounge sofa-bed. The holiday home has two x Kitchen-Lounge-Dining fully equipped with dishwashers, fridges, microwaves & gas hobs, plus there is a spa-pool patio terrace, and a large deck with extensive uninterrupted water views of the stunning Hokianga. This holiday home is our family's pride and joy, which we enjoy sharing with guests for others to experience the incredibly special location of the Southern Hokianga: birth place of Aoteroa. NOTE-1: Booking-Com creates an automated description which is challenging to correct. Please note the property has: > There is no Restaurant on site (it is a private house) > There are expansive uninterrupted water views of the stunning Hokianga > There are two kitchen-lounge-dining including two fridges, two microwaves, two gas hobs, two washing machines & Weber BBQ. NOTE-2: > Outside smoking is permitted on the upstairs deck and downstairs terrace > Special Events may be permitted - check with the Host > If reserving Upstairs Apartment Only, then Quiet Hours apply NOTE-3: We work hard to ensure this property remains gorgeous and fully enjoyable for all our future guests, so we ask all visitors treat this lovely holiday home with care and respect. There is so much to see and do in the Southern Hokianga including: > Enjoying the local beaches of Opononi (1min drive away) and Omapere (5min drive away) > Visiting Tane Mahutu (NZ's largest kauri tree in the nearby Waipoua Forest ... doing an evening tour with a local Maori guide is particularly special > Visiting MANEA: Footprints of Kupe - a wonderful attraction in Opononi (opens late 2020) > Surfing the Sand-dunes (the Hokianga Express water-taxi provides free boogie boards) > Hiring jet-skis, SUPs or kayaks with Awesome Adventures > Fishing (from the local wharf, to deep-sea fishing crossing the sandbar out to the Tasman Sea) > LOADS of local walks and cycling tracks > Riding the car-ferry from Rawene (NZ's 2nd oldest European town) across to the Northern Hokianga (a crossing that is part of the Twin Coast Discovery Route) to visit the Art Galleries at the tiny town of Kohukohu > Enjoying a walk along Koutu Beach and its bizarre basalt boulders > 1-3 hour walk around the amazing Wairere Boulders > Enjoying a pinot gris on the deck of the century-old Heads Hotel > Enjoying a beer on the deck of the iconic Opononi Tavern > Eating a delicious Opo Burger
