Cook in a well-equipped kitchen in an open living area while listening to your favourite classic albums on the record player. A beautifully curated home decorated with art, house plants, dried flower arrangements and mid-century furniture. Such a lovely space to spend your next holiday or work trip! The space We love coffee, records, tea, greenery, decks, gardening, beekeeping and cooking! All that is reflected and offered in our modern renovated home. The large deck is great for soaking up the sun, having a meal on the outside dining table or space for kids to play. The kitchen is a dream to cook in with a lot of bench space, a stocked spice cupboard, a range of appliances and everything you need to whip up a meal. The lounge is comfortable and relaxing for a spot of tv watching, with a wide record collection to play some tunes. The four bedrooms are all comfortable with 100% cotton linen and one bedroom of which is a sleepout with an ensuite separated by decking. Air conditioner and heat pump to suit make the house just the temperature you like! A stocked herb garden for fresh herbs to add to your meal. Honey from the hive is available for your morning toast and a range of cereals for your first few day's breakfasts. A child-friendly house fully fenced and toys, books, a highchair and porta cot for families with little ones. Guest access: The garage is not accessible to guests. Other things to note: Beehives are on site, so might not be suitable for anyone with severe allergic reactions. Please read the description about the location for further details on the neighbourhood and location. Tea and coffee are available along with other basic food items. For longer stays, we may need to access the garage occasionally and tend to bees.

Our loving little family, James, Nicola, William and Georgia love to mix things up a bit by living in various parts of this fine country we live in! Being self-employed allows flexibility to work around mini ventures by staying in different locations and freeing up our home for your own holiday/business trip. I, (Nicola) love being a stay-at-home mumma to William and Georgia. Along with working part-time (as I have done for the past 18 years) for a charity called Recreate NZ which supports families who have a child with a disability. I also enjoy gardening, cooking, and baking (used to work as a baker for a cake shop) heading to the local cafe for a long black, tramping, indoor house plant collecting and beekeeping. James, now he's the real coffee and music enthusiast. Also enjoys listening to podcasts, reading theology and comics and catching the latest marvel film. He is a self-employed house painter with over 20 years experience in the industry. We love being a part of and growing a friendly, supportive community, we attend St Lukes church and are involved with a number of community initiatives. We look forward to hosting your next stay!

Location: Otahuhu, Auckland, New Zealand The house is in a diverse multi-cultural neighbourhood near Sylvia Park, a major shopping and train station. The motorway is accessible and it's about a 20-minute drive to Auckland's CBD and the airport. We are a part of a new development and the neighbouring property is in the process of being developed during January - December 2023. Please note that there may be construction going on midweek with some construction noise during work hours. The train station is a 20 min walk some bus routes pass nearby. We suggest that you have a car to get around the area, there are two off-street carparks available in front of the garage. Our house is opposite and on the same block as the Trinity cemetery. We love it as it's quiet and green. But if you have cultural views about cemeteries we recommend looking further into the location of the house, as proximity to the cemetery may not be for you. Depending on arrival time I can be around to greet and talk about the use of the house. Available to be contacted during the stay. Hosts have travelled extensively throughout nz, including doing a lot of NZ's great walks and backcountry hikes and can give tips and suggestions!
