Bedroom 1 & 2 at Matapouri Hideaway are fitted with a queen sized bed each, and bedroom 3 has one set of single bunk beds and one set of double bunk beds (single on the top and double bed at the bottom). Additional sleeping is available in the lounge, with a double sofa bed. This is an easy option for couples and families. For holiday supplies, the local store is a moments walk away, or hit the beach for days in the sand and surf an easy 5 minute walk away - the outdoor shower is ideal after days at the beach! Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest National Park in New Zealand, but it is one of the most scenic. Abel Tasman boasts pristine white sandy beaches, tranquil estuaries and wonderful forested headlands. The Coastal Track is world famous, and visitors can choose to explore it on their own, or with a guide. Other ways to explore the coastline include sea kayaking, yacht, or water taxis. At the southern entrance to Abel Tasman National Park there is fantastic opportunity for visitors to swim with seals.
