The room exceeded our expectations! Couldn't believe how spacious it was. Wifi was good and amenities clean too.
Staff were so friendly and accommodating. My sister and I waited in the reception area for our transport to arrive and the staff brought out tea and continued to offer us breakfast, even though it had finished. Couldn't recommend them enough!

Great place to enjoy the Great walks of New Zealand.
Great place to enjoy the Great walks of New Zealand.
We did the Keplar track for 3 days and it was amazing. The scenery is breath taking and we got some outstanding whether. It even snowed on our hike which wasn't really expected for the time of year. The Huts were all clean and tidy and the Hutt Wardens do such a great job of keeping everyone informed and safe. Would recommend this Hike. It was also nice to come back and stay at a comfortable and reasonably priced place. Great Hot showers and comfortable rooms. We will be back.

People often only go to Te Anau just to take the Milford Sound tour. There is so much for to see and do! It really is a place to just relax.
Whether it's late night strolls to the souvenir stores or restaurants or taking walks along the amazing lake views that aren't crowded by other people.
If you ever want to try out cycling, Te Anau is the place to do it. Not much traffic and the price for bike hire is cheaper than Queenstown.
If you're in on a Sunday, go visit The Life Church that. A loving warm and friendly community over there.
When it comes to food, I found food shopping, Chinese food and other restaurant prices were cheaper than Queenstown. Oh, and souvenirs are also cheaper here too.

I just love the relaxed surroundings of Te Anau, it's one of my favorites destinations for a few'nights-getaway..there is lots to do and if you're adventurous you can do even more! Amazing nature, the lake is just stunning, township is not too big but has all you could want/need. Brilliant food places...love The Ranche and the Moose. Redcliff restaurant and bar is a unexpected find, quaint and quirky but great food and staff. Overall, Te Anau is a beautiful destination if you're looking for somewhere not too touristy (at least, it doesn't feel that way)

This is a nice location which has everything.
This is a nice location which has everything. The town centre has everything that you would need. Friendly people in shops and businesses. Great range of different restaurants. Excellent tourist attractions. Very convenient to Milford Sound - 2 hours through stunning countryside. A lot better to travel from Te Anau to Milford Sound or Doubtful Sound than to come from Queenstown - 4 hours travel
The best place we found to eat and just chill at was Red Cliff Bar and Restaurant - friendly staff, exceptional food and first rate service.
A couple of must do's are: Wings and Water (float plane) with Ivan and Cruise Te Anau with Peter. Both locals, highly entertaining and knowledgeable.

This is a great, very small town that makes a great stay to see the Fiordlands. Stay at a location with a view of the lake. Activities from here are a great choice. The lake and mountains are beautiful and eat at the Ranch, best place we ate on both islands.
I enjoyed my stay at Te Anau Lodge, the staff were nice and very friendly the place was very clean+++++ the bed comfortable
The choice of food available at breakfast time was amazing and it was nice sharing a table with other travellers and chatting
It was particularly special to me as I stayed in the Music Room where I was taught Music in the 1960’s when the building was located in Nightcaps
Nostalgia and special memories
Thank you
We stayed in the older section and were put in a suite with two bedrooms, a sitting area and kitchenette. Way more space than we needed but it was nice to have! The building manager lives on site and was very attentive. It's very dated but that didn't bother us at all. Very clean and comfortable and just off Lake Te Anau. Easy walk into town for restaurants, groceries etc. as well as a walking trail along the lake.
Probably one of the best experiences we've had across our hundreds of stays around the world. Hannah was an amazing host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was excellent, Everything was immaculately clean, the rooms were very well designed for both practicality and decore, amazing views of Lake Te Anau, delicious cooked breakfast, amazing location; really we couldn't ask for more. Thank you!
The owner was amazing, super personable and down to earth. He offered a broad array of options for our stay in Te Anau, whether it be restaurant recommendations or tours that he could swear by.
Overall, this motel was more than what we paid for, a supersized king, along with a full kitchen and living room, what more could you ask for?
Perfect location. We stayed in the newly renovated wing of the hotel. Rooms were lovely. Special shout out to Ashleigh (housekeeping manager) who was so helpful in providing information about things to do in Te Anau and the South Island in general.
We had a lovely stay at Aden motel in Te Anau! The owner was helpful and provided us with detailed maps of the area, the room was clean and had everything we needed, the internet was fast, and the heater worked well in the middle of winter!
The facilities were clean, staff were friendly, and the cabin we stayed in provided everything we needed for our adventures! The location was perfect and close to Milford Sound as well as downtown Te Anau. We wished we stayed here longer!
Amazing location, very close to the Te Anau lake with gorgeous views of the mountains. Very conveniently located for a drive to Milford sound and back in the same day. Lots of places to explore nearby as well. Gary was an amazing host!
Tasman Holiday Park is family friendly, shops and restaurants is a short 8-10 minute walk. The facilities are quite good, they also have hot tubs and a sauna. Lake Te Anau is right in front and great for a morning jog.
Check in was seamless and they left a key for us at the front desk. We had only booked a lodge for 2 people, but the place actually had 2 full bedrooms so we had a ton of space! Great location in Te Anau!
Awesome breakfast and manager was very helpful and kind as he allowed us to pack food for our daughter.
Room was clean and spacious.definitely we will choose this hotel again if we visit Te Anau
Vintage outback style inn. Cozy room, central location in Te Anau. Is free parking right at your motel doorstep. Love the led light mirror in the bathroom.
