Our property is located overlooking Lake Dunstan, Old Cromwell Precinct, vineyards, Pisa Range and the mountains beyond. Wander down our hill, over the fence and your at the lake edge. The Lake Dunstan Cycle and Walking Track lies at the bottom of our property and leads either northwards around the bay and up to Pisa Moorings or to the south you can reach Bannockburn and can head for Clyde for the day. We are in walking distance to dairy, cafes and restaurants, Town & Country Club, shops and hotel. Feeling like a relaxed day then set yourself up on one of our many deck chairs/sofas and enjoy the view from the deep veranda across the lake, pull out a book or whatever.
We originally owned an old stone cottage and holidayed in Cromwell for more than 14 years before making Central Otago our home in 2003. We are passionate about our town and what it has to offer. Things we enjoy include boating, fishing, lawn bowls, book group, playing bridge and Barry also loves riding his motor cycle around the interesting gorges and roadways on offer here.
Our neighbourhood has mainly permanent residents who care and respect their properties and the environs. We are located on the corner of Butchers Drive and Barry Avenue just prior to departing the Cromwell town boundary and heading out to Bannockburn. Our town has to offer:- Walking and Cycle tracks Lake Dunstan Aquatic Sports Centre Shopping Library Golf Courses Orchards Vineyard visits & Wine Tasting Mountain Bike trails Restaurants & Cafes Picture Theatre Swimming Pool Gyms Central Otago Rail Trail (15 mins to Clyde) Gold Mining Centre Ski Fields (60 mins drive) 45 mins drive to Wanaka, Queenstown and Arrowtown
