Aoraki Alpine Chalet is a classic Kiwi Bach (older house) in a world class location in the heart of the Aoraki Mt Cook Village. This place, whilst simple, has everything you need to make your holiday to Mount Cook an amazing experience. The chalet is set in pristine native bush with native birds heard close by. The views from here are simply outstanding and if you enjoy privacy then you will love this place. It is very quiet! The house is very comfortable, with comfy couches, great beds and linens and enough space for you and your family. The house comfortably accommodates 8 people but please bear in mind there is only one bathroom but the toilet is separate. Make sure you bring your grocery supplies with you if you intend to self cater as Mt Cook does not have a supermarket, however given you are on holiday, you should be dining at any one of the 4 restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance of the chalet. We recommend spending 2 nights here to make the most of the environment, we are currently offering 10% discount on a 2 night stay and 12% on 3 night stays August 2020! We have a later checkin time of 4 pm but check out is not until 1pm the following day

Adele and Tony grew up at Aoraki/Mount Cook and know what it takes to make a great holiday even better, and thats a great nights sleep. We are very experienced hosts with a number of properties under our ownership and have been providing accommodation for the past 15 years. We have a great team of staff including Mary who has been with us for 12 years. Adele and Tony have had long held aviation interests and Tony is a pilot of fixed wing and helicopters with 30 years experience in the Mt Cook National Park. We are passionate about tourism and Aoraki/Mount Cook and excited to be able to offer this unique property at Mount Cook! We hope to exceed your expectations.

The chalet is 100m from the local DOC visitor centre and 120m from the Old Mountaineer Cafe. From the Chalet you can easily commence your day walk to the Hooker Valley and any of the other famous walks in the Mount Cook Village environs. We also own the Aoraki Mount Cook Alpine Lodge which is right next door.
