This charming, 1924 romantic, Shabby Chic, self-contained flat, is one of Taihape's iconic landmarks. It offers a queen size bed, single bed in The Nook, lounge, bathroom, well equipped kitchen, and air conditioning. Luxurious bedding is our specialty, with cotton, wool and duck down to snuggle into. Enjoy fabulous views from our courtyard or enjoy coffee on the porch. The drive up to the back has off-road parking for 1 vehicle or up to 3 motor bikes. The bathroom access has two doors, one through the single bed nook and the other from the porch. Enjoy the views from the courtyard where you can relax and take in the beautiful scenery. The White House offers glamorous comfort, your home away from home, with a natural charm of its own. This icon is a couple of minutes walk down the hill to the popular Brown Sugar Cafe where many guests enjoy their breakfast. There is extra parking down the bottom of the section for larger vehicles. We have extra parking down at the front of our property for trucks, trailers, etc. Drive up to the top of the driveway, there you will find number 5, with free parking.
The White House is only 2 minutes down the hill to the legendary Brown Sugar Cafe, the world-famous gumboot-throwing lane, and the township. Taihape has free parking, lovely walks, great cafes and shopping.
