Ananya Apartments
The apartments are located in a newly build apartment building with a very distinct and beautiful Neo Classical architectural design. The interiors are very carefully planned and are unique and different from a boring hotel room. Every apartment has all amenities you require including a kitchen with crockery, comfortable living/dining area, double windows to reduce noise and pollution and air-conditioner heating/cooling. The newly built building and six new apartments of Ananya Apartments Phase 2 are new additions to the company. The company was established in 2016 with three apartments under management. Unlike a hotel, Ananya Apartments give guests privacy, all amenities and plenty of space.
We are a Nepali couple based in Kathmandu. Subu is an advertising and marketing professional since 1998 and owns and runs several businesses in the industry while Mala is a tourism entrepreneur. We both love the hospitality business and are very interested in interior designing. All our apartment interiors are conceptualized and designed by us using local craftsmen and repurposing many items. We started Ananya Apartments Phase I in 2016 after converting part our commercial building in Thamel into three apartments. After an overwhelming response, we constructed our Phase II purpose-built apartment building also in Thamel in early 2020 and created seven new apartments. We have two kids - a teenage son and a pre-teen daughter. As Airbnb hosts, we like to give our guests their privacy. Although we live about 20 minutes away from the apartments, we are always available when required but otherwise we don't bother our guests at all. As a family, we holiday once a year and since becoming hosts, we actively seek and stay at other Airbnbs.
Thamel is a very touristy part of Kathmandu. Within a couple of minutes walking distance all around the apartment, you can find dozens of restaurants, bars, pubs, clubs, tour agents, ticket agents, ATM booths, shopping centers and everything else a tourist would want. The apartment is located just 20 meters in a side street just off the main road. That gives the apartment a huge advantage in terms of peace, quiet and privacy.
