My name is Maartje and I live with my children in the farm next to the holiday home. I was born and raised in Hierden, so I can - if desired - explain and tell a lot about the area. I love celebrating holidays, just like you ;-). I hope that guests can have a nice and relaxing (mini) holiday in my holiday home! On the day of arrival, I like to greet guests personally. I am preferably reachable by e-mail, but you can also call me by phone. Holiday home Ottenstein is a converted barn with its own garden, close to forest, heath and sand drifts. The rural surroundings, the wide view and the authentic details make this house an attractive and relaxing place. The 2-storey house has 3 bedrooms (1 downstairs, 2 upstairs), underfloor heating, a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom with rain shower. Due to the private garden with terrace outside and the comfortable furnishings with good heating inside, it is good to stay in Ottenstein in both summer and winter. Outside there is a second toilet and a private lockable shed to place bicycles (with electricity).
Holiday home Ottenstein is located in Hierden, municipality of Harderwijk, in the middle of the Veluwe, close to the Veluwemeer. A wonderful place for walking and cycling! The house is located in the meadows and on a forest edge. Castle De Essenburgh, which is used as a restaurant, is a 5-minute walk away. Within cycling distance are various sand drifts, moors and water sports areas. Sauna & Wellness Resort De Zwaluwhoeve is 1.5 km from holiday home Ottenstein. Harderwijk is a charming Hanseatic and fortified town on the water with a picturesque city center with various government monuments and cozy restaurants including two Restaurants with Michelin star. Nearby are several fun attractions and museums such as the Dolfinarium (Harderwijk), Walibi Holland (Biddinghuizen), Koningin Juliana Toren (Apeldoorn), Kröller-Müller Museum (Otterlo), Paleis Het Loo (Apeldoorn) and the historic town of Elburg. Public transport (bus) 500 meters away. Supermarket 1.5 km away. Shopping in Harderwijk or Nunspeet 5 km away. Amersfoort and Zwolle are half an hour away (about 40 km). Amsterdam is an hour away by car (80 km).
