We built this garden house in 2020. The house is located in the old-historic center of Zierikzee at the back of the garden of the patrician house of the late Job Baster, the most famous resident that Zierikzee ever produced. The eighteenth-century physician was an authority on medicine and natural history. Right in front of the door is a statue to commemorate him. The house has its own entrance, a spacious living room / dining room, kitchen, downstairs toilet, upstairs bathroom, two bedrooms and a private garden. The house is ideal for relaxing in silence.

My name is Brian van Geer and I am both the owner of the Job Baster Huisje at the back of my garden. In 2017 I took over the house from my father Lex van Geer. My father used to practice his GP in the house for 30 years. 3 years ago I converted this former practice into an apartment and I started renting out for recreational purposes. I noticed that there is a lot of demand for a stay in monumental Zierikzee, which is why I have expanded my accommodation offer with a garden shed. I work in the financial sector myself and I also do the rental. I like this combination.
