This holyday house in Gelderland (128km from Amsterdam) is warm and comfortable: upstairs is a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with one double and one single bed and a bathroom with toilet; downstairs a sitting room, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table and a second toilet. South of the apartment is a large terrace with a shade tree and an pergola with shade cloth. From the terrace is a view on the countryside. A pretty quiet road runs east of the house with a drive, where you can also park the car. You make your own breakfast. ***Note: The steep stairs and the sloping roof make this accommodation a challenge for very tall people or people with lessened mobility.
Deend is a holiday house in the province of Gelderland, situated in the countryside of De Achterhoek. I have lived here 10 years now and love the nature surrounding my home and the holiday annex that I rent out. You as a guest will get much privacy as the terrace faces the other way, but you are also welcome to share the large garden, filled with fruit trees and vegetables. You get your own parking and plenty of space to sit and play.
Deend is situated in the countryside between Laren and Lochem. Both are easily reached by car of bicycle, being at a distance of 3 km and 5 km respectively. The long distance walkway "Pieter pad" passes the house at 1.5 km distance. Lochem is an old town with much charm and nice shops and a choice of eating places. You can walk on the beautiful “Lochemse Berg” and in the woods of the estates Ampsen or Verwolde. The nearby village of Laren has a cozy cafetaria and two pubs/restaurants.
