Gecko Bay Estate situated about 100m from Kingfisher beach on elevated position overlooking the bay and full view of the islands, said to be the best view in Vilanculos. Easy access to the beach via paved road and stairs. On the beach friendly interaction with locals and experience the thrill of the nets beings pulled by the locals, bonus will be to see sea turtles being caught and released.
Well-travelled through Africa and worldwide, with ample guidance to the area and all that's happening in and around Vilanculos
This is the quiet side of town, about 6 km north from city centre with few houses and exclusive resorts in the vicinity. Very safe to walk anywhere and no hassling from local vendors on the beach. If it is peaceful you want, that is what you get here
