Encanto is an old farmhouse, we welcome you to our vegetarian Bed and Breakfast. You enter in the lounge area, which was formerly used for keeping animals. You can still see some of those features. The lounge takes you directly to deck area, where you can enjoy breakfast by the pool. After a sunny day by the pool or enjoying the island you can relax in your bedroom on the first floor. The double bedroom features a small balcony with town views. The larger bedroom that can serve a couple or up to 4 people comfortably has a cozy private loggia overlooking the pool area. Both rooms have ensuite shower rooms with toilet. Rooms are served with a small coffee/ tea station and a fridge. All rooms are air-conditioned.
We are a Maltese German couple, who both have a passion for hosting. This is our first venture on having our own Bed and Breakfast. We try our best to practice ethically by reducing waste and source local vegetarian products where it is possible. Sharing the house with us there are Pumpkin and Pepper our cuddly cats and Toffee our dog who completed our family after being rescued from the streets. In our free time we love exploring the outdoors. That could be an adventurous hike along the coast, relaxed snorkeling in Wied il-Ghasri, kayaking in Mgarr ix-Xini or camping on beautiful Comino. We are open to feedback as we wish to make your holiday memorable and special.
Encanto is located a few meters away from the main square of the gozitan village of Xaghra. If you are using the bus, we are easily reached by two routes, one coming directly from the ferry, the other from Victoria. The square features various cafes and restaurants. Within walking distance there are a number of places of interest including the Ggantija Temples and Ta' Kola Windmill. Ramla Bay could be reached by bus in a few minutes, or even on foot, but we advise to take the bus back as it is quite steep. You also can get the Hop on/ Hop off- Sightseeing Bus which takes you all around the island directly in Xaghra.
