I am happy to come to Okinawa beyond the sea. Our house is an old private house made in Okinawa traditional. Why do not you feel the slow flow in Okinawa's traditional culture and nature? We want our guests to “experience the relaxed comfort of Okinawa”. In front of Ichibanza is Mibaru Beach with clear sea and blue sky. There is a forest where crickets live in the backyard. It is the best location to feel Okinawan culture and nature. In addition, we do not have a TV because we want you to experience the relaxing lifestyle of Okinawa, which is different from everyday life. If you want to relax watching TV, I recommend the hotel. Wake up with a bird song in the morning and take a walk while picking up seashells at Mibaru Beach. Take a nap in a hammock while feeling the natural breeze flowing through the terrace. Eat Okinawa cuisine at a local restaurant for dinner. You can also buy and cook Okinawan ingredients at the supermarket. At night, listen to the sound of the crickets and the sound of the waves, and watch the sky full of stars. Spending time with your family will be one of the best memories of your life.
I'm Shun. I was born and raised in Okinawa. I love traveling and lived in Australia for a year and then traveled around Asia. As I traveled, I felt the charm of Okinawa deeply and wanted to introduce it to those who are interested in Okinawa. Therefore, I opened a guest house “Ichibanza” with my family. We want you to experience a slow Okinawa time in a traditional Okinawa house. So if you are looking for a hotel-like service or want to make a noise, we recommend looking for a hotel. Also, please refrain from bookings that take cancellation into account. We would like our Ichibanza to stay with those interested in Okinawan culture and nature. Okinawa traded with countries in Southeast Asia during the “Ryukyu Kingdom” era and accepted oriental culture. After the Pacific War, it also accepted American Western culture and built a unique culture. Okinawa has built a friendly and relaxed culture while accepting Eastern and Western cultures. You can experience the relaxing time flow of Okinawa with your important family!
In front of our house is the lush Mibaru Beach. A glass boat on Mibaru Beach welcomes you with colorful corals and tropical fish. A 15-minute drive away is the world heritage “Sefa Utaki” and “Okinawa World” where you can experience Okinawan culture. It is a wonderful place to feel the spirit of Okinawa. If you are interested in sacred places in Okinawa, Kudaka Island is also recommended. Kudaka Island is the sacred place of Ryukyu, where the ancestor Amami Kiyo, who made Ryukyu, came down from heaven and started making the country from here. Even today, the islanders are worshiping and offering prayers and gratitude for peace. If you are tired of sightseeing and want to take a break, try Hamabe no chaya or Okutake Island tempura. At Hamabe no chaya, you can feel the flow of nature as you watch the tides. Okutake Island tempura is an Okinawan soul food loved by locals. Our house is the best location to experience Okinawan culture and relax.
