Unsui is a residence inn style accommodation, located in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture. 60 minutes drive from Fukuoka airport, or 60 minutes from Hakata by train, then 8-minute walk from Takeo Onsen Station. There is no hot spring (onsen) at the property, but Takeo Onsen Motoyu is only a 1-minute walk away. Guests can enjoy the thick, hot water there. There is also a private onsen, a sauna and open-air bath, are available there. Rooms are simple but well-designed authentic Sukiya-style architecture. Ancient Japanese natural materials such as bamboo, cedar bark and gently bevelled white wood are used in abundance on the polychrome walls. Lovers of architecture and handicrafts will be enthralled by the delicate workmanship of the ceilings and alcoves, which differ from room to room, the hand-carved ranma and the bamboo base windows. The Japanese-style rooms are softly lit through wooden shoji screens. It will make you relax. After soaking in the onsen, you can enjoy local gourmet food, or cook and eat local produce while admiring the beautiful local ceramics such as Arita and Imari ware. I have just moved here because I love travelling, hot springs, libraries and tableware. Everything here in Takeo!I have travelled to 36 countries and have just started living in Saga, the ninth prefecture in Japan. Travelling enriches your life.
