A light and spacious trullo set in an acre of land offering every modern comfort as well as traditional Apulian charm. The panoramic views of the Valle d'Itria from the 30m2 veranda in front of the house are simply stunning. The three terraces set among the dry-stone walls lead to a pool-house with kitchen & pizza-oven and a 40m2 saline swimming-pool. CHECK-IN/ CHECK-IN ON SATURDAYS ONLY
Our trullo is in the centre of the triangle formed by Martina Franca, Locorotondo and Alberobello, with all three about a 10-minute drive away. Martina Franca, with its extraordinary Baroque old town, Locorotondo, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy with its narrow medieval streets in concentric circles, and the UNESCO world heritage site of Alberobello all have an excellent variety of restaurants, bars, and shops. An excellent way to explore the area is by bike using the 230km network of cycle paths, known as the Acquedotto Pugliese, which runs through the Valle d’Itria. The beautiful ‘white city’ of Ostuni, located on top of a hill with fantastic sea views is about half an hour’s drive east while the stunning cliff-top town of Polignano a Mare and the old harbor town of Monopoli are not much more to the north. A little further away, but within easy day-trip distance, are the famous baroque city of Lecce, ‘The Florence of the South’, and the spectacular cave-dwelling city of Matera.
