The town owes its name to the famous seabed rich in minerals, it was one of the loading sites for iron extracted from the Rio Albano mine, architectural evidence of which remains on the right of the beach. It is never too crowded and offers a large free car park, it is about 200 meters long, equipped with a small kiosk/restaurant open all day. You are 3.5 km from the municipality of Rio Marina, a charming and intimate fishing village, one of the main locations on the island.
