What a lovely city, lots to see and do.
Lots of history which we love, lovely food and friendly people, felt safe and walked everywhere to see attractions, roads are a bit mad even crossing them, be careful, I wouldn't drive there, got a taxi to and from the airport.

My daughter and I went to Rome for the first time and spent 5 days in May 2024. It was very walkable but some things are farther apart, and transit is a good idea. The crowds can be thick in tourist areas and main roads. Many historic sites and museums must be prebooked to avoid disappointment. Some tour operators try to sign you up as you are on site. These are more than entrance fees but many '"skip the line" which is great. We had Get your Guide for the Colosseum prebooked and she was excellent and we skipped the line. Lots of traffic and congestion in Rome so it can be overwhelming at times. So many lovely museums and churches to see but it's hard to do everything.

Many great historical tourist attractions everywhere, many beautiful churches open for visits, great for tired feet. I was apprehensive before my visit after all the negative warnings but I felt safe seeing so many police cars stationed everywhere.
But Rome is expensive compared to other cities like Florence and very crowded in main tourist sites.

I did not recall seeing that breakfast would be available off premises. We had a choice of two locations to have breakfast depending on when we had our events scheduled. I would has preferred breakfast in the hotel but was not entirely dissatisfied with the off-site locations.
The suite was excellent, the location central which allowed for easy access to many sites.
On my nexu visit I will look for similar facilities with a breakfast room on-site

Rome's got plenty to see.
Rome's got plenty to see. From History to Art, from Street Musician Theater, and from 5 star dining to the best street food around. And don't forget about the great coffee. There's so much to see and do, and the people we met were so friendly.

We enjoyed the architecture, the lovely friendly people, the dining experiences. Be sure to visit the Vatican, Colosseum, Duomo…. For the first two get tickets well in advance. Using the Hop on Hop Off bus allows you to see a variety of sights as well .
The location was great! We loved that we felt like locals while staying here. The room looks exactly like the pictures. Romantica Guest House was one of the best accommodations we had during our stay in Italy. Would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Rome. The check in process was also flexible. Our flight landed at 8 pm. We were able to stay in contact with the host and he met us at the Guest House right as the taxi was dropping us off. There was a small fee for late check in but it was very reasonable.
Location is awesome! Perfect for those travelling in Italy by train because of proximity to the Roma Termini station and relatively close to main attractions in Rome. Hop On/Hop off stop is right across the street from the hotel as well as the stop for the buses to 2 different airports (7 euros only!!). Last but not least - breakfast. I loved it and it is as good as everyone writes here. I will stay in this hotel next time i am in Rome. PS: The bed and pillows were really nice
Quiet, traditional hotel close to the colosseum, great staff, amazing breakfast, Francesca is amazing in proving help and replying to all questions. I am a frequent visitor to Rome for many years (twice a year), and usually stay at Trastevere or Campo dei Fiori, this time for new years I decided to stay at Lancelot, also because I am a travel designer specialist in Italy, and I am always testing new hotels for my clients. Lancelot will be in my list of hotels.
This was the best place we stayed in Italy. Nice and new, modern and contemporary. Felt extremely clean, comfortable beds and we were lucky enough to have a view of Piazza Venezia from our room. Great location, we walked everywhere and didn’t have to use public transport once. Plus the breakfast! Pietro really went the extra mile to make breakfast each morning that bit special. Will definitely be back when we return to Rome.
The hotel experience was excellent overall. Amazing staff, very friendly. The location was ideal. The room was superb. Very clean, spacious and brand new furniture. I loved it so much that I will always come back when in Rome. I do consider this the best hotel I’ve stayed in Italy, and overall excellent value for money too. Thank you so much TB Place Roma, it was great to stay with you and looking forward to the next time.
The location of the Hotel being walking distance from Rome Termini train station. The room was clean with the most comfortable bed and pillows we had throughout Italy. Staff were very friendly and willing to help. Breakfast was very nice with a range of cold meats, breads, croissants fruit, cereal and cakes. The location was also an easy walk to all the sites. Close to nice restaurants too.
This is an absolutely fantastic boutique hotel in Monti. It is located very conveniently in Rome and the rooms are gorgeous and a decent size for Italy. Above all however, the staff are absolutely amazing. They all went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. It felt like they were welcoming us into their home, rather than a hotel. We can’t wait to come back!
Central location close to Roma Termini, relaxing and affordable spa with multi sensory saunas, amazing rooftop bar/restaurant, comfortable pillows, fast WiFi, magnificent breakfast. Also set us up for car service to the airport. After a whirlwind week traveling in other parts of Italy, Hotel Artemide was such a refreshing experience to unwind before our long journey home!
The hotel is very close to the center of Rome. It was clean and cozy. The most I liked is friendliness and assistance of Luigi, the guy who works in reception. It was my first trip to Rome (Italy), but I didn’t find any difficulties as Luigi helped me with map and highlighted sightseeing to be visited step by step. If I come next time definitely I will stay at this hotel!
Had all the basics required, nice shower, good bed, great air conditioning and a generally nice room. Federico was an excellent host and I will definitely try to stay here when in Rome again. Location was pretty central and there are lots of places to eat around it. Wish we had stayed here more than one night as it was the best room we stayed in on our trip around Italy.
Friendly and helpful reception staff. Surprising fluffy and tasty croissants (for Italy) during breakfast. The location was very good, just across the US embassy and many 5* hotels - fairly easy to reach, away from the tourist noise but still reasonable distance to all key areas in Rome. Much appreciated that they could book us a hire car to take us to the airport.
Hotel Domidea was a lovely hotel near the road that is the ring around road. It was easy to drive to and had parking which is a bonus in Rome. The best part of this hotel is the staff. I’ve travelled to Italy many times and this staff was the best. From the front desk to the staff in the restaurant. It was a fabulous stay. I would highly recommend this hotel
The hotel is fabulous. The location is incredible- in front of the most beautiful monument in Italy- the Pantheon. It is within walking distance of all major tourist attractions. The staff is friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. I always return to this hotel whenever I am in Rome.
The rooms were lovely and big for Rome, and the hotel was extremely clean. Also, unusually for Italy, we found the bed really comfortable. The elevator was fully functional which was great because we were travelling with a baby. A good breakfast spread as well.
This place was great. They were helpful and friendly. The breakfast for being a small mom & pop hotel was great - same every day, but lovey. The bed is comfortable, which is hard to find in Italy, as they’re all VERY firm. It’s quiet and you don’t hear others.
Our bedroom was amazing! The staff incredible and The food was delicious!! I can’t praise this hotel
It’s getting hard which one is my fav!
I loved the Floors too it’s a spectacular hotel! Full of character and beauty…. What else to expect from Italy’s Best!
Beautiful boutique hotel right in the centre of Rome. Excellent modern facilities, well appointed rooms and large bathrooms which is a rarity in Italy! Excellent location for sightseeing and also a shopping destination too. I highly recommend the hotel.
Great location close to train station and easy to get to centre of Rome. Nice and clean room with accomodating host. Breakfast was a cappuccino and crossiant from cafe downstairs, cappuccino was one of the best we had in Italy!
The room was very big. Breakfast perfect in comparison to other hotels we stayed in Italy. I need to say that place is a very good choice in Rome! Nothing bad happened there. The cleaness was extremely good.
Omar at the reception is a gem
