The idea behind the Tejomaya project was to play around and blend themes inspired by Dharamshala itself. Situated at the foot of Dhauladhar the city itself is an art, a fusion of culture, hub for sports enthusiasts and a safe haven for travelers looking for Sunday morning treks. Here at Tejomaya you might come across little details from old rustic homes giving you a very warm welcoming feeling.
I have been travelling all over India since childhood and opening a café homestay has been a part of my dream soon after graduating from college. The idea behind the homestay was to bring flavors from my favorite childhood places all at one place. And that is Home. The very idea of homestay is very different than a hotel. Homestays are places where diverse people come together to form a family. A bond which is meant to last a lifetime. Opened in the early 2024 we are still working on expanding the entire project so that more and more can join us to study, grow and learn together. P.S. feel free to bring your pets as we are a pet friendly family.
The property is situated in one of the most travelled places in Dharamshala. People from all over the world come to the Gyuto Tantric Monastery to study culture, explore thangka art and visit galleries. The place is know for its peaceful environment, treks, cafes, bakeries and humbled folks. Being 10 minutes away from the major bazaar the property provides the perfect blend for a peaceful evening walk or a quick night out.
