Our home is located in the scenic Gaeltacht region of Northwest County Donegal (Dún Na nGall), on The Wild Atlantic Way. The house is situated between the villages of Kincasslagh (Cionn Caslach) and Burtonport (Ailt an Chorráin). The house overlooks Keadue strand and Cruit Island which is accessible via bridge. Cruit Island is well-known for its 9-hole golf links course right on the Atlantic Ocean. Burtonport is a 5-minute drive from the house, where you can take a short ferry trip to Arranmore Island Árainn Mhór and spend the day relaxing and enjoying the amazing views. You can head North and visit Mullaghderg (Mullach Dearg) and Carrickfinn Beach (Charraig Fhinn) (Blue Flag). Carrickfinn is also home to Donegal Airport (voted most scenic airport in the world three years in a row, 2018 to 2020) has daily flights year-round to Dublin with Aer Lingus and flights during the summer months to Glasgow with Loganair. Further North you will find the area of Gweedore (Gaoth Dobhair), where you can easily spend hours visiting the many beaches and small harbours dotted along the coast until you pass Bloody Foreland (which gets its name from Gaelic Folklore) and is the most north-western point of Ireland. If you wish to continue on a few more kilometres, you will arrive in a very scenic Magheroarty, and get a passenger ferry to Tory Island (Toraigh), Ireland’s most remote island. The local area has a rich musical and cultural history with traditional Irish music sessions taking place regularly in local bars and pubs The space: Both bedrooms are upstairs. Our Rooms do not have TV's, however we offer unlimited High Speed Broadband. Please feel free to bring your own Laptops or Tablets During your stay: Work and family life mean our contact with guests is limited; however, we are here to help as required. We will endeavour to meet you on arrival, however on some occasions may be asked to Self Check-in with a lock box (code will be provided on day of arrival). We would respectfully ask that if you are arriving at or returning to the property late at night noise is kept to a minimum.
