Hegyes-Tető Vendégház awaits visitors in Nagymaros, in one of the most beautiful and popular cities of the Danube Bend. The long-established, more than 120-year-old house regained the character of an original Swiss villa in 2020 after a long renovation. Its sophisticated design, different styles for each room, the 80-meter-long wine cellar and the breathtaking views guarantee special atmosphere. The house is cooled and heated by geothermal energy and free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
Nagymaros is a charming small town located on the left bank of the Danube River in the Danube Bend, approximately 50 km from Budapest. It is considered one of the most beautiful settlements in the country due to its picturesque surroundings, nestled in the valley of the Danube, hills, and valleys descending from the mountains. The area is rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage. The town was founded in the Middle Ages, and its first documented mention dates back to 1257, but archaeological finds from the Stone Age suggest that it was continuously inhabited. It was a village for much of the 20th century, but regained its city status in 1996. Some of the main tourist attractions nearby are: Hegyestető: 4.4 kilometers, 22 minutes by car, 1 hour 10 minutes on foot Nagymarosi ferry and beach: 1.2 kilometers, 4 minutes by car, 11 minutes on foot Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross: 800 meters, 3 minutes by car, 10 minutes on foot Calvary Chapel: 1.4 kilometers, 5 minutes by car, 16 minutes on foot Devil's Mill Waterfall: 4.3 kilometers, 40 minutes by car, 50 minutes on foot Salamon Tower: 3.3 kilometers, 38 minutes by car, 35 minutes on foot.
