The space of a traditional village oven and an adjacent kitchen ( the actual bedroom) - with the traditional "ognistra" (fire place) on the once earthen floor - formed the current "The Old Oven House" after the necessary works for its transformation into a habitable building. All restoration and renovation works were carried out by the owner and renowned archaeologist- restorator with respect to the nature of the buildings dating back to the 19th century, following archaeological-restoration s

Neighbourhood information

The location of this charming house and the settlement, which is only 6 km from the airport and 8 km from the city of Corfu, favours excellent walks on green paths and country roads, which connect Aghios Prokopios with the beautiful neighbouring villages. Also, the drive from the main road up to the village offers a truly fascinating experience of Corfiot evergreen nature, within idyllic scenery. Access to the famous beaches of the island’s Central West coast (Glyfada, Kontoyalòs, Myrtiotissa, Yaliskari, etc.) is achieved via cute, traditional settlements but also green paths, full of olive groves and cypresses. The nearest beach, Aghios Gordios, famous since the ‘70s, is only a ten-minute drive, and the panoramic view, as well as the long sandy coastline with emerald seawaters, are all equally unique.
