The house is sitting in Ormos Korthiou a fishing village 32klm from Gavrio port of island. It is located in the middle of the island so that it has easy access to the whole island. Near the house there are a lot of sandy beaches as Agia Ekaterini, Vinchi, Kadouni walking distance. Korthi has a full market ,restaurants, coffee shops, super market, bars, bank, and First Aid Dispensary. You will find shops with local delis like local wines, raki, cheese's sausages, honey, capers, mountain tee, oregano, marathon and homemade marmalades. The house is overlooking the small marina of the village, having an open view on the sea, also the mountain across the bay. Entering the front door is the living room with the two sofa beds. Right next to it a double bedroom with a double sofa bed also. Then there is the dining room with the fireplace and next the second double bedroom. Climbing two steps is the kitchen fully equipped and the w/c - bathroom. From the kitchen door we pass to the back patio where is the staircase that leads to the small garden and then to the terrace where there is a large table and in front a large sitting area from where we enjoy the view.
My name is Antony I am the manager of the house. Personally live permanently in Andros and am therefore easily reached by you offering my services whenever needed. I can assist in the transfer from the ferry to the house and explain to you the details of the house. There is a Range Rover car available for rent if there is needed. Also the possibility of a fishing tripin my speed boat or for swimming on a magical beach without people.
Andros is the greenest and the second biggest island of Cyclades, only two hours by ferry from Rafina one of the main port of Athens situeted 20 minutes, also the same from Eleftherios Venizelos Athens airport. The island is covered with consecutive mountain ranges with slope and between gorges and ravines and valleys full with olive, fig, oranges and lemon trees plenty of running waters that usually end in soft sandy beaches. Chora the capital of island wich is by far one of the most beautiful capitals. Neo classical buildings, two important and famous museums, one old open theater where during summer playing ancient tragedies, market, restaurants, coffee shops, banks, two sandy beaches and many sites of interest is just some of the beauties one can find Chora, also renownrd for its very rich cultural life. The island has a rich geographical contrast and combines the dry Cycladic landscape with lush vegetation and abundant water. It is the unique Cycladic island that springs from the rivers to the sea that throughout the year. In these waters Andros owes her beauty and the ancient names Lasia (with rich vegetation) and Ydrousa ( with abundant waters.)
