Moana House is a traditional style home in the picturesque village of Salakos with a private pool. It enjoys stunning mountain, sea and sunset views and has a sports field nearby. Recently renovated and equipped with your comfort in mind, Moana House is ready to welcome you and give you unforgettable moments with your family and friends. Four sleeping spaces (One double bed and two single beds) and private parking make this ideal for families or small groups of friends.
Father and Son team, Antonis And Valantis, are experienced hosts dedicated to providing quality facilities and services. Their passion for offering genuine hospitality means that you will not want for anything during your stay. Antonis grew up in Salakos and has many beautiful childhood memories of visiting his grandmother’s home, now Moana House. The scars on his knees remind him of the many happy hours he spent playing on his bike in the street outside. Antonis loves to travel, and this inspired his idea to call the house Moana, which means “ocean” in Hawaiian. Growing up, Valantis would visit Salakos every weekend and spend his entire summer in the village, staying with his grandparents. He currently studies economics at university. “We chose to renovate the house because it has a lot of sentimental value to us both, which resulted in putting all our love into the final result. Now, we are ready to share it with you and look forward to welcoming you.”
The picturesque mountain village of Salakos on the west coast of Rhodes is surrounded by beautiful natural countryside, olive groves, vineyards and farming land. It boasts many natural springs, walking trails, and breathtaking mountain and sea views and is on a popular cycling route. It is only ten minutes from the nearest beach. It has an attractive and vibrant paved village square surrounded by tavernas, cafes and shops, where locals and visitors gather under the great plane tree on warm summer evenings to enjoy friendly company and delicious traditional Greek food. For those wishing to escape the mainstream tourist areas, Salakos is ideal for immersing yourself in tradition and nature. Yet, ideally and centrally located to visit all the main attractions and beaches Rhodes has to offer, such as fascinating mountain villages, the wine trail of Rhodes and the more touristy beaches of the East Coast. The nearest beaches are only ten minutes away by car, and the archaeological site of Ancient Kamaros is only 7kms away. From nearby Kalavardo to Theologis, popular Kite Surf Stations attract international enthusiasts. Diagoras International Airport is only 19 km away.
