Property information

Mema's Home is a cozy maisonette located right on the outskirts of the village of Agia Effimia, avoiding crowds and noise but at the same time in a walking distance from all amenities and beaches. It is carefully renovated and decorated by the owner, offering a warm environment with all the amenities that a guest would need to feel at home. Entering the house you find yourself on the upper floor and in an open plan living space with comfortable sofas and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a dining table that can seat 4 people, a fully equipped kitchen and a WC. At the lower floor, where you are led through a staircase, there are 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, one with a queen bed and another one with two single beds, and a bathroom. The openings at the lower floor lead to a big terrace with BBQ facilities, a traditional wood oven and outdoor furniture where you can prepare your meals and enjoy them al fresco! The views of the village, the sea and the surrounding mountains are astonishing and will sure make your stay in Mema's Home unforgettable!

Neighbourhood information

Mema's Home is located at the outskirts of Agia Efimia, few min away from the center of the village. Agia Efimia is a traditional fishing village, located on the north-eastern coast of Kefalonia, surrounded by the mountains to the west, north and south which form the beautiful Pylaros valley. Centered around the harbour and quayside this picturesque village is an ideal base from which to explore the rest of the island. There are many small family owned sea-side tavernas, cafes and restaurants where you can try local dishes. There are excellent amenities including a post office, pharmacy, ATM, and hair salon. Shopping is covered from groceries stores, bakeries and a butcher's delicatessen to tourist stores, jewelry shops and gift shops. Relax at one of the 4 beautiful white pebble beaches, surrounded by turquoise waters or watch the boats that moor up in the bustling harbour. You can explore the old village ruins and the Roman mosaic in the village or take one of the many day trips available from the village. The property is 8km away from Myrtos beach and Lake Melissani, 12km from Antisamos beach and Drogarati Cave and 8km from the village and Port of Sami connecting with Italy
