This property is situated in a small village and was renovated about 2000 combing old and new enhancing living standards. A new kitchen with appliances was fitted just recently. Both bedrooms have new wardrobes bedside tables and chest of drawers. The court yard entrance has table and chairs to relax. Up the spiral staircase you will find 2 sun terraces. From the kitchen and sitting room area leads up to the 2 bedrooms on the first floor. From the top of the stairs is a door leading onto the 2 sun terraces consisting of sun loungers, table chairs and umbrella. The cottage is ideally located for those wanting to relax in a quiet village or to enjoy the mountain areas surrounding this village. If you enjoy walking we operate a walk from the cottage to the Aposolemis gorge. It's about 8 km and takes about 3 hours to complete with our experienced guide you will enjoy the fantastic views and gain much knowledge of the flora and fauna inside the gorge. After, we return you to your holiday home by car. Further info is available in our information folder inside the cottage. Bicycles can be provided should you require them.

I work most days in a shop in Koutouloufari and have worked in tourism for at least 20 years. I keep fit by walking and cycling enjoying the countryside up in the villages.

The village is surrounded by mountains . It's an ideal location for hikers and cyclists or just chilling out in the village in one of its tavernas/cafeneons. Closeby is the Aposolemis gorge and as mentioned before the guided tour starts at your holiday home and you are returned by car. It's approx. 8 km and takes about 3 hours to complete. You will enjoy the beautiful geological formations on the slopes, entering the meditterean jungle following its path through to the more challenging area as we move through into the heart of the gorge. A picnic inside the gorge is included in the price. At this point we sit and observe the vultures nesting 250m high up in the vertical cliffs. You can arrange this trip through Jean. Other attractions nearby is the Crete golf course about 3 km heading towards the busy resort of Hersonissos where you will find shops restaurants and a coastline of beaches offering many varieties of water sports. Hersonissos takes about 10 to 15 drive in the car. About 5 km down is a water park ideal for adults and children.
