The Villa is a Cretan stone house (100m2) that has a welcoming style and includes all the comforts. It has a breath taking view of Souda Bay, the ocean and the white mountains. Complimentary high-speed internet inside every room and outside by the terrace/pool. Ground floor: Living room with 65-inch flatscreen tv with lots of international satellite channels. Open plan kitchen with ceramic cooktop, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher (cookware, bakeware, dishes, cutlery, utensils and glassware are provided). Open dining room that connects to the kitchen (includes a dining table/chairs and sofa bed (mattress 75/180). 1 small bathroom (toilet/sink) and 1 twin bedroom (mattresses 90/190). There is a washing machine, drying rack, iron & ironing board. From the living/ding room there are class doors that open to the private outdoor area that is nothing short of spectacular, with a terrace/swimming pool with stunning sea views. There is a shaded area with a sofa set, chairs, coffee table, dining table and chairs. Parasols/sunbeds available by the pool. These spaces are perfect for dining, lounging and sunbathing. First Floor: 1 twin bedroom (mattrasses 2x90/190), 1 bathroom with toilet, sink, bathtub and separate shower and 1 double bedroom (mattrass 155/200) with an ensuite bathroom (shower, sink & toilet). Both bedrooms share a balcony with a beautiful sea view. All bedrooms include an air conditioning unit, central heating, a flyscreen, hairdryer and closet. Towels, beach towels, bed linen and blankets are available in sufficient quantities and included in the price. During stay no cleaning services are provided. Additional cleaning can be arranged for an extra charge. Free private parking available next to the villa. The villa is non-smoking, but smoking is allowed at the outside terrace/pool area. This is truly a place to experience this unforgettable island to the fullest. Staying at this villa is like having your own island home.

What I love about the Villas is the amazing views and the peace it gives me. There is nothing quite like it. Crete is a beautiful island with lots of gorgeous beaches, history, monasteries, nature, gorges and quaint villages. Delicious Cretan cuisine and hospitable Greek people. I know a lot about the island and its hidden gems and would love to tell you all about it! I was born in Athens and grew up in the Netherlands (fluent in Dutch & English). The Villa is located just outside the traditional Cretan village of Kokkino Chorio (known as the filming location of the classic film “Zorba the Greek” (starring Anthony Quinn and many locals). The coastline around Kokkino Chorio is presented by a series of beautiful cliffs and interesting ground formations, with a few caves making it a nice area for hiking. It's a perfect place to relax, recharge or simply a good central base for visiting the entire island of Crete. It's an easy 38 km commute from Chania International Airport and 126 km from Iraklion International Airport. Just 1,8 km from the square of Kokkino Chorio which has a minimarket, restaurant and Glass blowing factory. Plaka (4 km) has several restaurants & mini markets. Almyrida is a charming seaside village (5,5 km) and has a nice sandy beach with several restaurants, tavernas and shops. The large village of Kalyves (10 km) is close to the entrance of Souda Bay and connects to the highway. Kalyves is a popular tourist resort that has maintained its Cretan character. It has a good beach, several restaurants/tavernas, bars and shops. Popular points of interest from the villa include: Ancient city of Aptera (20 km), Kournas Lake (24 km), the magical city of Chania with its Venetian harbour & old town (29 km), Rethymnon old town (43 km), Botanical Park at Omolos (45 km), Samaria Gorge entrance (68 km).
