The Cretan Sea View Apt is ideally located 5mins from the historical Venetian Harbour, 10mins away from the city center and the public bus station and 10mins away from the sandy beach of Nea Chora. It is a newly renovated, air conditioned apartment with an amazing view of the Cretan sea and the Venetian Walls. Free 50Mbps WIFI is available in all areas of the apt. It consists of a modern open plan area for the kitchen, dining room and living room. There is an oven and cooker, a refrigerator, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker for espresso and filter coffee and all the amenities that a kitchen needs in order to be functional. There is a sofa and a 50” smart TV in the living room. In the first bedroom there is a queen size bed and a 43” smart TV and a closet. In the second bedroom there is a double bed and a 43” smart TV and a closet. Extra linens, extra towels and coverlets are provided. In the bathroom there is a washing machine, hair dryer, first aid kit, shower, shampoo, shower gel, soap and of course toilet paper. An iron and an ironing board are provided.
Our names are Mike and Harry and we are the hosts of this house. We love visiting new places, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. We feel very lucky living in beautiful Chania, the gem of Crete, and we enjoy walking around the historical old town of Chania and the modern Chania. Crete has a rich history and culture. You’ll have the first taste of its historical past by wandering in the Chania town. You will come across noble mansions, Venetian fortresses, museums, fountains and churches. Walking around Chania is one of the great pleasures of visiting the town. Each neighbourhood has its own feel and each hour of the day its own mood. Myths, history, wine bars, coffee shops, street food, spice shops and incredible views with peaks of the White Mountains providing a dramatic backdrop. All in an afternoon’s stroll and for the cost of the loose change in your wallet. We recently renovated this apartment and we have put our heart and soul to make it warm and welcoming so that your stay is as memorable as possible. We are Greeks, so hospitality is in our blood. Our favourite quotes are “If you want to be happy, be” & “ Love the life you live”.
The apartment is located just 5mins away from the most picturesque ports in the country, the Venetian Port and the charming Old Town with the narrow alleys full of little shops for your souvenirs, cafes, bars, clubs and restaurants. On the northwestern side of the port of Chania the Venetians built the Revellino del Porto also known as Firka Fortress, a fortified construction for the protection of the harbor. Don’t forget to visit the Maritime Museum which is located at the entrance of the Venetian fortress Firka. 2500 exibits like relics, ship models, maps, nautical instruments, etc. are exhibited. The Topanas area and the Jewish quarter are found right behind the western part of the Venetian Harbour and it is worth visiting. Only 10mins away is the beautiful sandy beach of Nea Chora which is very popular to the locals. The small road that runs along the beach is lined with cafés and restaurants. 10 mins away is the modern Chania, which refers to the city beyond the Venetian Walls when it started spreading in the late 19th century. Chania today is a city that offers all the services, commodities and amenities of a contemporary European city without forgetting its rich history.
