Makratela guesthouse is located on the south slope of the Caucasus range, high mountaineous region of Georgia, Tusheti. that's why it is open only three to four months-from June to October. the road is closed during 7 months. Makratela is situated in the Pirikita gorge bordering Chechnja and Dagestan. Tusheti is famous for its breathtaking scenery and local culture. our guesthouse is the place where you will feel comfortable and happy due to beautiful scenery which opens from all parts of the guesthouse, best local quisine with fresh meals and unique hospitality of Keto, your hostess.
we are happy to have you as our guests at our small guesthouse in the high mountains of the Caucasus. you will find and authentic local hospitality and best quisine, nice terrace and garden for evening bonfires and practical help and tips to organise your days here in Tusheti.
Dartlo is on the way to main horse track over Atsunta pass which many hikers choose to go through as a challenging and beautiful path from Tusheti to Khevsureti. there are also small several hour walking treks around the village.
