We really loved Grenada.
We really loved Grenada. It was both my husband and I first visit. The people were great, friendly and helpful. My husband did'nt move around as much as I did because of his disabilitiy, but from his observation it's a great place to visit. I got lost one day by taking the wrong transportation back to the apartment and the driver returned my fare and got me on another taxi that took me to my destination.

Choose hotel with beach access to suit you.
Choose hotel with beach access to suit you. Some hotels have hilly terrain. We didn't stay in but very near St George's but it's easy to get in and go to the museum, restaurants, market etc. It's not too big to walk around the whole town. Sailing trips or diving available from the marina or hotels or beaches.. Self drive or guided tours to different attractions round the island easy to arrange. Various restaurants have music on different nights or lunchtime. People are lovely and relaxed, Enjoy!

Unfortunately I didn't get to stay long enough to get a really good feel for the island. Everyone I met was friendly and helpful. The place is total eye candy. There are awesome vistas, interesting plants and interesting architecture everywhere.

St Georges is one of the jewels of the Caribbean nestled in an ancient volcanic crater it is strikingly beautiful as is the rest of Grenada and Grand Anse beach is nearly two miles of white sand with gently lapping waves. The people of Grenada are incredibly welcoming and very justly extremely proud of THEIR island.

Saint George was safe and the customer service was excellent...
Saint George was safe and the customer service was excellent. Everything was in walking distance to where i stayed (Blue Horizon) however, transportation is expensive so it is wiser to rent a car which cost almost the same as transportation around the Island and you have the car 24hrs. The island needs some side walks for pedestrians safety.
I didn't see much restaurants or high end bars, clubs or movie theaters however the patriotism and the island spices could have been seen everywhere
One place i enjoyed visiting was the museum as the history is so rich but the operation at the museum should be improved to become more interactive rather than just all reading. Video clippings would have been appreciated and maybe a tour guide in the museum to bring the readings live!
OK the decor of Gem Beach is dated, but the hotel is very clean the rooms are cleaned every day, the staff are so friendly and helpful, especially both Lorraine's. The location is amazing right on the beach! It's a 20 min walk to Grand Anse beach where there is a big supermarket and other hotels and bars etc, There's a steep hill to get up initially though..... if you don't want to walk a taxi is 30EC.
We really enjoyed our stay at Gem Beach and would definitely stay here again if we are ever in Grenada
I have no complaints the staff was very nice, the accommodations were great the hotel staff was very pleasant and eager to help with anything we needed. The maid came everyday to see if we needed towels or maid service. We stayed in the king size suite, my only complaint is the apartment was a little cluttered. I will definitely stay here again but will choose a different room. I can’t say enough about the staff they were very friendly.
Amazing location on the most beautiful beach of the island. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Joanne, Uli and the team made us feel welcome, comfortable and helped ensure we had the best possible holiday. Villa was bigger than expected giving us plenty of space and privacy. Food in the restaurant was superb, absolutely delicious. You could eat here every meal, every day! Good snorkelling off the reef right in front of the hotel.
I liked that it was close to the airport. The staff on site were friendly. The room was clean and the bed was okay. The neighbor across the street with his shop, and his friends were friendly, helpful, and generous. They helped me out when I couldn't get in the room. They also gave me a bowl of fish soup which was absolutely amazing. If ever you do go to this hotel, check out the shop across the street for food.
We have stayed here many times before but never again , the hotel had a full on party with huge speakers right outside our room playing deafening , demonic music from 3pm until 1am it was awful , we couldn’t get any food or a drink there and we had to lock away in our room which badly needs updating , there was no staff to even complain to, couldn’t wait to get out of this hellhole , a terrible experience!!
The apartment was a good size, with separate living room and bedroom, together with a large, covered balcony. Setting of the accommodation in gardens was attractive. Swimming pool was a good size for swimming lengths and was not too busy. Hotel is close (walking distance) to a shopping mall with large supermarket and numerous beaches. Parking was adjacent to the accommodation. Staff were helpful.
Accommodation is expensive in Grenada and I just needed somewhere quiet to sleep for a few nights. Great value for value, clean and tidy and well managed but fairly basic facilities. More like serviced rooms that a hotel. 3 mins walk to Grooms Beach bu there is building going on so not sure how long beach will remain 'secluded', At end of beach is Laluna where you can walk to for lunch etc.
We stayed one night and the rooms were clean and the AC worked well.
We arrived at 3 am and the staff met us there to let us in which was extremely accommodating. They also have a parking lot if you have a car.
We did not explore the area around the hotel. If you’re arriving by plane, take a taxi- don’t walk as there are no sidewalks on the narrow streets.
Fabulous location 4 minutes from Grand Anse beach. The hotel gardens are stunning and there's lots of bird life. Our chalet was in a great spot with partial sea views. The living room was a good size, the kitchen was well equipped and the shower room was modern, The bed was comfortable, if a little firm for us. Great value for money.
The property is on an amazing beach. But it’s busy and touristy - there are more beautiful and secluded beaches on the Island, maybe not so big but just as beautiful. The rooms are spacious with good showers and nice views. The hotel grounds are actually very pleasant but they are very unloved.
The staff was welcoming and they helped us throughout our stay. When we arrived we were even greeted by the hotel owner. Our room had a gorgeous view. The hotel is a short walk from the beach and also close by the mall that had a grocery store, coffee, shops, and anything else we needed.
This is the perfect location for the airport. The pool terrace has plenty of shade and the pool is lovely.
The staff were fabulous and the room very spacious.
We had breakfast and lunch in the hotel and both were delicious.
Note there are no shops nearby
this a great spot if you want to relax and feel comfortable wether solo, couples or families. staff is very kind and amenities are great. what i loved the most is that this is an eco friendly boutique hotel!
An exceptional and very special hotel. Perfect Caribbean location- combines charm, style and elegance. Excellent service - just a beautiful place - hard to leave.
lovely secluded location on Morne Rough beach with a bar and restaurant next to the hotel. beach was calm and lovely. staff all extremely helpful and friendly.
