The inside of the croft is beautifully restored and when the log burner is lit, very cosy. The host prepared an amazing and very generous breakfast and we had very good company from the couple who had been staying in the yurt.It was also very quiet.

When travelling in Scotland, you will want to have the confidence in the quality of your accommodation, knowing that it will play a big part in the whole pleasurable experience of your holiday. Wester Auchraw Croft is set in the heart of beautiful Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. This in not just any normal Croft; it is one of the most preserved 'Cruck Framed Crofts's in Scotland (a design, based on an upside down Viking ship) and very much part of our Scottish Heritage. It will give me great pleasure to welcome you into our home and to share its history and our hospitality with you. Our location in Lochearnhead provides an ideal base for walking, water-sports, cycling, with flora & fauna and wild life in abundance. There are many local historic places to inspire you and bring the history of the highlands to life. Or perhaps you'd simply choose to curl up with a good book in front of the fire and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of a slower pace of life. We're OK with that. Wester Auchraw Croft is located on the A84, Cycle Route 7 and the much loved walk 'Rob Roy Way'. It sits amongst spectacular scenery in Highland Perthshire yet is only 1 hour's drive from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth. We look forward to meeting you. “There is no hospitality like understanding.” Varna Bonta
Bio MELANIE With a background in arts, photography & hospitality, Melanie began her spiritual journey at the age of 17 through various healing practices like meditation, mantra, tantra, shamanic work and reiki. She thoroughly explored ashram life in India which gave her a deeper understanding of yogic philosophy and way of life, of the connection between body, mind and soul and the path to master the union within. After studying Ayurveda medicine in Regents College London, sound tantra, mantra and meditation, she completed her 200 hours YTT with Ravvi’s School of Yoga in July 2019 certified with UK Yoga Alliance. With her natural curiosity, compassion and humor, she has recently started her teaching practice in yoga and healing offering a thoughtful and creative approach to the body, mind and soul. She is successfully running her own hospitality business combining the arts with a complete yoga and meditation retreat within a beautifully self-renovated Wester Auchraw Croft, in Central Scotland.
Lochearnhead is a small village with some 250 inhabitants at the head of Loch Earn. Lochearnhead is steeped in history from the Mesolithic-Age, the Bronze Age with the crannogs on Loch Earn, the evidence of Pictish and incoming Scots from Ireland and the feudal estates of the clans McGregor, McLaren and Stewarts. Its location is fabulouse for out door activities from walking to sailing. There is a village shop and a hand full of award winning restaurants to eat at locally.
