Situated in the historic village of Hawkshead, Walker Ground Manor is a traditional country house dating back to 16th century. Guests can benefit from free WiFi, free parking, and easy access to the South Lakes area. The en-suite rooms at Walker Ground boast some original features such as oak wooden floors, exposed beams, and vaulted ceilings. Walker Ground Manor is truly somewhere special, here we aim to provide all the ingredients for a great stay in a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere. This lovely traditional English Lake District country house, dates from the late 17th century. Full of charm and character, the house retains many original features; fine oak floors and panelling, with a rare barley twist oak staircase. The large en suite bedrooms each have their own individual character and are furnished and decorated with style. B&B guests have the opportunity to relax and reflect on the day in the Lounge, with its log fire in the colder months or whilst enjoying views of the garden from the Conservatory in the warmer months. The ‘Garden Lounge’ is also very popular on warm afternoons and evenings. The garden and grounds are beautiful at any time of the year, with the beck and waterfall a stunning feature. Plus free onsite parking. We also have the The Barn at Walker Ground Manor, lovely self catering accomodation available to book on its own listing.
Hawkshead is a historic village with small independent shops and eateries. There are plenty of walks and cycle routes from the door in every direction. An ideal base for exploring the South Lakes Area.
