This 19th-century character cottage has always belonged to seafaring families; an early owner was captain of the Trinity House light vessel at Lowestoft, known as the Corton light ship. Owners from the 1950s were among founder members of Wells Sailing Club and Wells Wildfowlers with a long standing family connection to the Wells lifeboats and Trinity House pilotage. Nestled in quaint and pretty Jolly Sailor Yard on the East Quay, it lies detached within a peaceful designated conservation area and despite being just a few steps from the harbour, it is free from traffic noise, so you can be sure of a good night’s sleep.
