Enjoying World Heritage Status, the Jurassic Coast is also an excellent place for fossil-hunting and taking long walks on the South West Coast Path, where dogs are very welcome too. Getting around Due to the rural location, travelling here and around the area by car is strongly advised. Please note that there are narrow lanes leading to the estate’s cottages, however there are a number of passing places should you encounter an oncoming vehicle. There is parking for one car at Tree Pipit Cottage. However, transport to and from nearby Axminster train station can be arranged should you wish to arrive and depart by rail. There is a regular mainline service between Axminster and London. Once you’ve arrived at the cottage, if you don’t want to hop into a vehicle again during your stay, that’s perfectly possible.
