The Snug, as its name suggests, is a cosy ground floor apartment offering self catering accommodation. The property has recently been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard and with its own independent access is an ideal stay for walkers. The Snug boasts many features that include a Kitchenette with combined Microwave/Oven, comfortable twin beds (that can be made into a Super Kingsize bed upon request) and an ensuite bathroom with electric shower. It is ideal for guests needing 1-2 night stay, located a stone's throw from The Dales Way and other circular routes from the doorstep. If you prefer to eat out, The Buck Inn (15 metres opposite) provides good wholesome food for lunch and dinner. A Full English Breakfast is also available, but needs to be booked in advance the day before. Contact Jo and Jeremy on the number provided in the Welcome Information pack or through their website. Pets are welcome with a pack containing dog bowls, a dog blanket and treats. Towels are also available in the event of a soggy walk! Over the road, we have our own fully enclosed pet run, for pooch to roam around. For parties of more than two people, The Snug has the option to connect to The Wharfe and The Dale, also part of Greystones, through a private internal inner hallway, that is otherwise locked. Having decided to retire early after many years teaching, my partner and I have settled in this beautiful part of North Yorkshire. We purchased the property and embarked on a journey to create independent, self catering holiday lets on the ground floor. It has taken time and effort to complete the accommodation to an especially high standard and we have taken a hands on approach, aiming to create lovely spaces for guests to enjoy both Wharfedale and the wider Dales National Park. During your stay we are happy to help as much or as little as needed.

At the geographical centre of the Yorkshire Dales, Wharfedale is truly stunning! Only a hop, skip and a jump to the local pub and shop. On the doorstep is the popular Dales Way and Lady Anne’s Way and several other circular walks that start and finish here. It is the perfect location for seasoned walkers and cyclists or those exploring for the first time. Combine hearty exercise with good food served in the local pubs. The George at Hubberholm is a short walk along the banks of the River Wharfe or The Fox and Hounds in Starbotton and closest of all, The Buck Inn directly opposite. Parking is available outside the house however you will probably prefer to park off the thoroughfare by the Village Green (10 metres away). There is a large Car Park at the edge of the village, around 70 meters from the house. You will find an electric charging point there. There is a regular local bus service to Skipton.
